I recently visited Rive Cafe, and my experience was far from pleasant. The customer service was incredibly disappointing. The staff was unhelpful and left me standing in the sun for 30-45 minutes waiting on the last two items of our six person order to tell me that I didn’t order the last two items so since I didn’t pay for them that I would not get them. I had no idea as I opted not to get a receipt. I read the order from my phone twice to the clerk. She Knowles when I got the order I mentioned missing the last two things. She knew I was waiting all along, but claimed there was nothing to tell me since it was not in my order. Instead of letting me know so I could have reordered them and pay for them, they decided to just ignore me. She also inferred I was lying about reading the order to the new clerk who struggled with I putting the order. We always visit here for the Açaí bowls and coffee, but I’ll never go back knowing the same owner for all three places after this experience I had with them. He was rude at first then nice about the whole thing. I listened to his rant about the girls there all on Prozac or Xanax and no customer service skills. These are private things that shouldn’t be shared out. Things he should not share with others. I would not recommend Rive Cafe to anyone looking for a pleasant...
Read moreAwful customer service and burnt toast! First I ordered the avocado toast and it was burnt. I returned it and the girl looked at the other staff and said she says it's burnt, as if she couldn't see it herself. The blong girl said it would be remade but it would be a wait, with no apology or acknowledgment whatsoever. 15 minutes later they re-made it but it had no salt and no seasoning on it. I returned it a second time and told them there was no seasoning on it, and then the blond girl actually laughs as if I'm making this stuff up and being unreasonable. Wow! I said to them, I know you think this is funny, but this is a food establishment and you should actually care about what you're serving people. To the owners: Get some actual mature staff working for you, and not young ignorant girls that just laugh at their customers. Also, how difficult is it to make avocado toast? I honestly can't stand these types of employees that ruin what would otherwise be a pretty nice little business. Hire better staff with less attitude. I would never want someone like that representing my business. Sorry if not wanting burnt toast is too high maintenance, and asking for salt and pepper. Unbelievable. If something is made wrong, you apologize, and then you promptly remake the item for...
Read moreMy friends, wife and I visited rive cafe on April 17,2025. We came to rive cafe ordered a few different meals. I will have to say the atmosphere was great loved it but the food 2/10. I myself got the Cuban sandwich. The lady didn’t know what mojito sauce was which usually comes with a sandwich like this when you don’t know what it comes with that’s a bad sign. The bread was burnt and very crunchy which took away from the pulled pork. The sandwich was very dry and bland with not much flavor. My wife ordered the lunch bowl and she hated it. So I took a bite and it tasted like I put a whole spoonful of pepper in my mouth. Both of our friends tried it and they felt the same way it had so much pepper it overwhelmed the entirety of the bowl and was inedible. My female tried had the breakfast bagel which she liked and didn’t have any complaints and said 9/10. My male friend breakfast burrito he said it was very good. The sauce complimented the meal. 7.8/10 because it was very small portion size for the money they are asking. Overall the place seems very boujee for over priced food truck food with small portions. Probably wouldn’t be back but it was worth it to suppose...
