Frustrating service at best. Yesterday was my son's birthday and he wanted Popeyes (wouldn't be my first choice for a birthday dinner but I'm also not 15) Anyway, after spending way longer at the phone store than we had ever anticipated to get him a new phone for his birthday, we tried to still swing by Popeyes before we went home. We arrived in the drive through line at 9:14 and there were approximately 6 cars ahead of us. The line was taking FORVER. We finally reach the speaker box to order at 9:48 and we're told they are only accepting cash, that the "credit card machine was down". I stated that was fine, we had cash. I was then told, "Okay, well we're out of original chicken sandwiches, nuggets and tenders. I asked if they had any spicy chicken sandwiches and he said, "No ma'am. We are out of all chicken sandwiches for the night. We are closing." I told him we had been waiting in line for over a half an hour but nevermind, we will go elsewhere. I understand that they have to stop serving people at some point but they should have had someone walk out to the car line and let people know that they're only accepting cash and that they're not going to cook anymore chicken for the night. It seems crazy 1. To sit in a car line for 30 minutes but let alone with only 6 cars ahead of us and then to be told that they're not cooking anymore chicken for the night. I could understand if we pulled up 2 minutes before they close and wanted fresh, hot chicken but gosh at least save people the time and energy of waiting in line if you've already decided your not going to serve them so at least they can get did...
Read moreWorst experience of my life at a fast food restaurant. We placed our overpriced order ($52 for 3 meals with no drinks and 2 kids meals), and got the order at the drive thru window. We made the mistake of driving forward, because we were shorted one of the meals. Went to run inside to get our last meal, and the doors were locked, as they don't do dine in. So we called their number, and a lady answered the call. We explained what happened, and she said we would need to show the receipt, which they did not give us one. The lady said yes we did get one because they always give them at the window. We said we didn't get one, and she kept arguing with us and finally said there's nothing they could do without the receipt. We explained again they shorted us a meal, and she said get back in the drive thru line, which then had about 6 cars in line. We said our food would be cold by the time we got up there and asked if she could bring it out to us. She said she couldn't do that. By that time we were pretty irate, and we told her she needed to bring out our food. She said she would not bring it out and we were not going to tell her she had too, and she hung up on us.
Completely honked off, we cut to the front of the line back in the drive thru. We explained everything as best as we could to the assistant manager without yelling (as mad as we were at this point). He gave us our food and said he would reprimand the terrible employee for her wrongful actions, though we know he wasn't really going to. He did at least apologize, but that didn't make up for the terrible experience. I would go negative...
Read moreVery disappointed. I came here cuz my sister was raving about the chicken sandwich. Which I thought was just ok. Could be because it was obviously sitting a while cuz part of the bun was hard.
My biggest problem is with the customer service. I walk in and one person is waiting to order the other is waiting on his food. 2 people working the drive through. One person getting the one customers food together. Nobody helping the person waiting to order. Stood there waiting while she gathered customers food for a good 2 to 3 minutes. No customers coming through the drive through. So those 2 people serving the drive through were just standing there while 2 customers waited to give their orders at the counter. Finally she gives the customer their order then takes the next order. The drive thru people never helped the people at the counter even though they had no customers.
Then I got to eat in the dinning room. Ya'll there wasn't a clean table in the place. And it wasn't busy. Trash was full. Storage containers out in the dinning room area. Floor has trash and food all over the place.
The person at the drive thru person could have been training. But that shouldn't stop them from helping elsewhere when they have no customers. They could have had the experienced person take counter orders while the other person gathered food. Then send the newbie to clean up the dining room.
I don't work there and I could run the place better on day one. Plus my pet peeve. Nobody moves with a sense of urgency when people are waiting. A slow pace is...
