If you would have asked me to rate this restaurant a few months ago, it would have been 5 stars. My husband and I would come in regularly, usually had the same server and even normally sat at the same booth. After tonight, I doubt we will be back, which is a shame, because the food CAN be good - or at least used to be. Tonight we were celebrating my son's birthday. The restaurant was empty, beyond manageable for the server. (My husband is in the restaurant industry so typically we are pretty sympathetic if service is lacking.) We placed our appetizers - 2 orders of bread sticks with pizza and cheese sauces for each. My daughter asked for a strawberry lemonade. It took quite a while for her to return with the drink - the bread sticks took 30 minutes with only one cup of cheese and pizza sauce. It was fine and we just made it work - we figured our pizzas would be out any minute. One bite and the bread sticks were hard. We were traveling today and everyone was starving but for my 3 kids to not argue over the last few bread sticks should tell you everything. Our pizzas took another 30 minutes. We could hear in the kitchen them talking about having to remake my husbands pizza because it wasn't right. The pepperoni and cheese pizzas came out and were fine. My pizza, sausage and ricotta was cold. We waited and waited and told the 2 kids who had their food to eat. My husband's came out and she said they were remaking my son's pizza because they made it wrong. I told her this was ridiculous and asked how long. She brought out the last pizza pretty fast - maybe 2 minutes later but 3 people were already finished eating, and it was still wrong (it was supposed to be no onions). As she dropped off the pizza (we didn't even say anything at this point - he picked them off) she also handed my husband the check and asked him if he wanted a box. He hadn't even taken 2 bites. The check was literally the fastest thing we had given to us. I'm assuming the manager came by and picked up the credit card machine and I told her we hadn't paid yet. There was no how was everything, nothing. Again, we are normally sympathetic but as a manager with I think maybe 2 other tables in the restaurant - seeing people sitting for an hour without any food AND she was at the window when the wrong pizzas came out - you can't tell me nobody noticed. Based on current reviews - they need to get it together. We didn't have time to make it to my son's favorite ice cream place for his choice of birthday dessert. We got to dinner at 7. We got home (just down the street) at 8:40. She did tell us they took the bread sticks off since we waited an hour. Some transparency could go a long way - again, the open kitchen means we can hear when you say the pizza is wrong AND the check showed that you rang in the order wrong, so when we inquire about the food, being told a fib isn't really cool on top...
Read moreThree Fires is fire! Sorry I don't have any pictures to share. We were too busy stuffing our faces. A friend and I went there for the first time yesterday. I had the buffet and she ordered a small cheese pizza and a chopped salad. I have to say I was super impressed by the variety on their salad bar. I concocted one plate of salad and it was very delicious. I had some of their vegan pasta and vegetable hot dish and it was excellent! I read the descriptions of their pizzas on the menu to see what sounded good. I wasn't 100% sure what all of the pizzas were on the buffet but I tried the ones that looked good to me. After reading the menu I assured myself there was no way I would enjoy the vegan pizza with vegan cheese. I selected three slices of pizza. I took a bite of one and it was a bit spicy and so tasty! When I asked the server what it was she said it was the vegan Thai Pizza. 🤣 it was my favorite! I never would have known it was vegan cheese. The cheese was very creamy and I loved the spiciness level. I never had cauliflower on a pizza but I usually like to try new things. I really liked the chewiness and freshness of the crust. I had a piece that was just pepperoni pizza and the sauce and cheese were delicious. I will say that we chose to go to the buffet later as to avoid the lunch crowd. That meant there wasn't much to choose from as far as Pizza and they didn't continue adding more pizzas since there weren't many customers. I did see one customer request a pizza and it came out with pineapple on it. 🤮 I am not a fan of pineapple on pizza but I'm happy for those who enjoy it. I saw the cook ask another customer if there was any other Pizza she wanted and she requested a really small something or other that he took directly to her table instead of putting it on the buffet. I thought that was a nice touch for customer service. I would have requested something myself but I was already very full. I definitely want to go again and maybe not wait quite so late to get there. They also have an option to make a salad and carry it out which I thought was really nice since their salad bar is really great. I would definitely recommend them and I would go back just to get pizza or salad and not the...

UPDATE: 9.8.2023 three fires on Illinois Road has introduced a pizza and salad bar! It's a small buffet back in the bar area of the restaurant where they showcase many different kinds of pizzas and appetizers. As well as an amazing salad bar with every ingredient from every salad that they make. They had a couple of pasta selections and a soup on the buffet as well. I have some updated pictures below and a picture of the time frames that the buffet is available! You have to go check this out! 01.27.2023. I got the Chicken Bacon Club on gluten free crust and had them drizzle Buffalo Sauce on it. Very Good! I recommend. Added more photos. 10.22.22. Open for lunch!! Great lunch specials that include drink and salad!Good food and service. Good beer selection. This barely begins to describe how good Three Fires Pizza on Illinois Road is. We have visited the store a few times for lunch and dinner and we are not ever disappointed. The Mista salad is one of the best salads I've ever had. They have a wide variety of wood fired pizzas each of them are very very good. They have some great appetizers including a roasted cauliflower that I like to get with chicken to add some protein. I think the meat lovers pizza. They do have gluten-free crust available and the pizzas are well done and very tasty on the gluten-free crust. Also shout out to the chef on this one. We picked up a pan and a half of the Mista salad for a rehearsal dinner and the presentation was absolutely amazing. Salad was fantastic. It came with dressing on the side and serving utensils. It...
