Utopian Coffee + Kitchen — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

Took one of our contractor's here for lunch today and could've had a better experience.

The atmosphere was great, coffee was... coffee, and the people were great.

I ordered one of the garden salads with chicken and the menu didn't state that there was blue cheese. The salad came covered in blue cheese crumbles. I hate blue cheese.

I tried to mask it by removing the bulk of the blue cheese, but that didn't help. Everything still tasted like blue cheese.

I decided not to eat the rest and told the server she could please toss it. After that, there wasn't much communication other than an apology, which was good. I was hoping to get offered some sort of replacement meal, but didn't, which is perfectly fine. They ended up taking the salad off my bill, which was great!

Overall giving this visit 3 stars as the salad came out unlike how it was listed and it happened to be my meal. Luckily the contractor and my business partner enjoyed their meals.

I may give this place another shot, but definitely won't be trying...

As a coffee lover, I must say it. Excellent coffee!!! The avocado Sandwich and the bacon and egg sandwich was well prepared and deliciously done. Great service, amazing staff and bright/ pleasant atmosphere. The above attestation has noting to do with the following. However, it speaks to the nature of the employees of the restaurant. I had left my wallet on the counter being rushed out to meet some friends. About 2 hours into my day when I had finally realized what happened. I retraced my stops and rushed back to the restaurant. I was received with a smile, and empathy ( ah you back already, welcome back! the employee said to me. Besides myself I managed to explain to her my conundrum. She asked her fellow colleagues and looked around. My wallet was waiting for me, with all of its contents, intact, under her counter.
