These people are MY GUYS!!! From the very first call to the last bite I just took of my Ayares… quite possible perfection. I have only Uber Ate (??) their food, but I am more than excited to go to their location. I don’t care if it’s even in a pit of despair, I will still love this place, and will sup my food with any devil that there may lie in. I have not met a dish that I haven’t liked, even if it wasn’t my cup of tea… I still respect the flavors and honor the full culture that is portrayed in each and every dish. I will never poopoo on the mall gyro places, but dang if they are now looked upon as mere McGyros now. My Mediterranean blood (Italian, what? That’s Mediterranean!) surges every time I am thinking about what to eat after a hard day’s work. I don’t ask my girlfriend “what do you wanna eat?” I ask “what do you want from Gyro and Kabob Grill?” On that subject, even my lovely, lovely, very picky, well done steak eating girlfriend likes this place. She gives it a “yeah, it’s good” which means five stars in her taste profile. If this place goes out of business, I’ll burn this world to the ground. So, it’s up to you, the average consumer… do you want the world to burn? Be like Tobey, support local diverse food options, dang it!
Quick edit due to crazy below: You have the right to not go here, they have the right to serve you in the fashion that they choose to serve the public. Don’t take the food if they don’t wear masks and that’s your thing. I personally would allow this food to be coughed on by a mask adverse nurse....
Read moreGreat little eatery, good prices and good food make for a winning combination. A friend and I went for lunch and we ordered lamb kabob, a cup of lentil soup, a small Tabbouleh salad and raw carrot juice. We were both more than satisfied.
I don't eat meat, so I didn't get a chance to taste the lamb kabob lunch special ($6.99), but my friend really liked it and said he'd be coming back. The friendly waitress kinda messed up his order, giving him rice instead of the fries he ordered. However, they quickly rectified the mistake and brought out some of the most tasty fries I have ever had. They look so good I had to have one. It was hard to stop at one, but I did. My friend, on the other hand, finished his order completely.
As for my dishes...Tabbouleh salad, lentil soup and carrot juice (I smile just thinking about it). The lentil soup was seasoned just right with various Middle Eastern spices. The small Tabbouleh salad was on a large plate with lettuce, bell pepper, cucumbers and Mediterranean toasted bread pieces topped with a delicious oil-based dressing. I washed it all down with fresh carrot juice. It's hard to ruin carrot juice, and they didn't. It was just a nice addition to see on the menu.
All of that for under $20...I'll definitely be coming back the next time I return...
Read moreI've left a review for here before (I think) and it was amazing. I've been ordering from here for years. Since I moved here. I absolutely loved it. I've never had anything bad from here until today. I spent over 40 bucks for 3 appetizers. I always LOVED my favourite things from here and even though I noticed the prices had gone up quite a bit, I still really wanted to order it because I loved this place. IT WAS AWFUL! The food doesn't taste the same AT ALL. The garlic yogurt used to be so good I could eat it straight out of the container. This time it was disgusting. (And even though it cost more, it was less food). So much raw garlic it almost burned my mouth, it tastes like I was just eating raw garlic with a little yogurt.... Also the tiny bit of flavor I could taste outside of garlic was off. The hummus isn't smooth and creamy any more and the falafel was inedible. Literally took one bite and I was done with it. And I'm not joking about the the garlic. Which I looove garlic, but it's such a disappointment because this was one of my favorite places and I'm sad knowing that I will never eat there again. The pita seems to be the same. Or at least as good. Except they cut it, which they...
