BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Good atmosphere. Beautiful restrooms (women's). Went here for a friend's birthday that she reserved 2 weeks early. When she called 2 hrs before her event time, they said she there was a 40 minute wait, so her group and I were just standing around the front for about an hour before we were led to our table. Table service was courteous. The waitress remembered all of us (more than 20) and multiple waiters helped deliver food. The food is pricey. If you come here, I recommend getting their burgers. The Southern Comfort tastes amazing. I got the Soba noodles in peanut sauce which tasted horrible. I thought it would taste somewhat like Asian food. It did not. The sauce didn't blend right and the noodles felt stale and were just drenched in the sauce. The veggies that came with it weren't even good. Overall, the portions were big though. I recommend getting the pizzookies. I tried the triple chocolate pizzookie, to which this location serves with chocolate chips instead of a Ghirardelli bar, and OH MY FREAKING GOD IT IS SO GOOD! I LOVEE the triple chocolate pizzookie! Would come back just for that one pizzookie! They serve a chocolate cookie that comes out warm out of the oven, top it off with some frozen and cold chocolate icecream and cover it with chocolate chip, all made with Ghirardelli chocolate. It was DELICIOUS! I cannot even begin. The middle where the icecream is is melted and chewy, the cookie is warm and the icecream is cold, oh my gosh I love it. Select BJ's have $3 pizzookies on Tuesdays and if this one has it I'll definitely be coming back. Regular price is $7.99. This is definitely not a treat you might want to be eating if you're on a diet though because it has 1100 calories. The icecream melts fast so it would be a good idea to share with a friend or date. The serving size is big enough for 2. Overall, the menu is pricey and the atmosphere makes it easy for you to spend more without feeling any repercussions. Service was good. Area was clean. Someone came and started cleaning up our table after we all left. Bathrooms were lovely. Staff was friendly. One person looked a little tired but that's understandable. Unfortunately, we had an extremely poor experience while dining at the restaurant for Mother's Day on 5/12/2024. We started out by having the food brought out over a 10 minute long window with no explanation as to why items were taking longer than others, the last two items that were brought out were the kids meals. My sandwich had clearly been sitting for quite a while before it was brought out to me, the toast on the bottom of the sandwich was wet and soggy from sitting on the plate for an extended period of time. When we questioned where the rest of food would come out all we were told was "the rest is coming" by the food runner as he continued to speak over us and not listen to what we were asking. When he finally brought one of the last two kids meals about 5 minutes later, he then realized that he was still missing another one of the kids meals and disappeared for several minutes before finally bringing the last meal to the table without any explanation or apology. When it was time to leave, I paid using the QR code that was provided on the receipt that the waitress brought to the table. After paying, I let her know that I had paid with the QR code using BJ's mobile app. A few minutes later she came back asking if I could verify that the payment went through because it was not showing her side. I showed her the receipt showing it had come through and that it also was showing as paid in the BJ's app and it had been deducted from my bank account. A few minutes later, she came back again, this time asked if she could take a photo of my phone because her manager wanted to see proof that it had been paid. At that point I told her that if the manager needed that "proof" then she needed to come to the table to talk to me about it herself. When the manager came over, she was very unapologetic and acted as if we were doing something wrong or were trying to avoid pay our bill which was obviously not the case. At no point did she apologize for any inconvenience or explain any part of it. It is very disappointed that the meal was very chaotic from start to finish when we were there trying to celebrate Mother's Day with our family. I recently visited another BJ's Brewhouse, and I must say that my experience was utterly disappointing and frustrating. As a regular customer, I expected better service and a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

I opted for the Unlimited Soup and Salad, hoping to enjoy a variety of delicious options. However, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I was informed that they were out of Brussel sprouts, an item I had been looking forward to trying. To make matters worse, when I attempted to change my soup selection, I was told that they were out of those options as well. It is simply unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber to run out of basic menu items.

On top of the limited food options, the service provided by my waitress was far from satisfactory. Instead of refilling my tea as requested, she brought me water, leaving me thirsty throughout the entire meal. Moreover, she seemed inattentive and unresponsive, leaving me unattended for extended periods.

Despite boasting a "new revamped menu," it was shocking to discover that the restaurant was still experiencing shortages, resulting in a further limited selection of available dishes. For a restaurant with a reputation like BJ's Brewhouse, such lack of preparation and foresight is highly disappointing.

Overall, my visit to BJ's Brewhouse was marred by poor service and a limited menu, leaving me deeply dissatisfied and angered. As a loyal customer, I had expected a much better experience. I sincerely hope that the management takes these issues seriously and implements necessary changes to prevent such occurrences in the future.
