A friend and I stayed here almost 2 weeks ago for a conference we were attending. We checked in on Friday evening and checked out Saturday morning. Before we checked out, we had their breakfast in the breakfast/dining area where I accidentally left my one-of-kind leather jacket. I realized this about 30-40 minutes after we left the hotel so I called up there because I knew that’s where it had been left. The first front desk person I spoke to who had been the one to check us out didn’t even bother to walk in there the dining room to check. He simply looked over the desk into the room and said there was no jacket. We called again a few hours later, same response. Just that there was no jacket. Which means it was stolen. Once the conference finished, we drove back to the hotel. We were met by a female front desk worker (who had checked us in the evening before) and I explained to her I had left a jacket here that morning. My jacket was not in the dining room. She said she hadn’t seen a jacket but I had to ASK her to physically go check the lost and found. Nothing. My jacket was stolen. They absolutely have security cameras and no one offered to check. Customer service was horrendous because I was only offered the response of “there’s no jacket here.” Nothing was done to get my jacket back. I wasn’t offered anything to compensate my stolen jacket. Which I didn’t want anyways. I wanted my jacket back and for them to actually try and check and look at the footage to see who stole it. Whether it was a worker or a guest. My friend asked if I could leave my information in case it turned up (which at that point I knew it had been stolen and wasn’t going to show up) and the lady handled me a post-it note. Unreal. A post-it note to handle a stolen jacket. So I decided to call Hilton headquarters a few days later. I was given a case number and told I’d receive a call within 2-3 days. That was one week ago. This place is awful. Let alone I had a jacket stolen in their dining area, the way it was handled was the absolute worst customer service. DO NOT STAY HERE. I would never recommend them. I have a friend who worked for Hilton and she was appalled at how it was handled and said the fact they didn’t even look at security footage to get my jacket back is insane....
Read moreCharlie was the one that assisted us throughout of stay here and checked us in. He was amazing! I really hope he is the manager of his hotel because he deserves it.
Parking is limited from the front but there’s plenty of parking in the park. The location is 15 minutes away from Dickies Arena which is why we picked this location along with it being the lowest rate nearby for the Hilton brand hotels. It is nearby a lot of restaurants and shopping so great location. We felt very safe here even after coming back to the hotel so late from our concert.
When walking in, you’re greeted with this lovely dining and lounge area that will host your morning breakfast that’s included in your stay.
The pool area is walled off in a separate room. It was well ventilated and contained so there was no additional humidity and smell that people have mentioned.
Check in was a breeze and every-time we needed something, we just stop by the front desk.
The gym was lacking. The screens on the machines were audio only. The basketballs were deflated.
The elevators was the scariest part. Not only did it had a weird and strong odor to it, it was really hot, made a lot of crackling/winding/popping noises and the control panel was loose. Really uncomfortable to use.
The hotel room was fairly clean. There were a few stains here and there on the bed skirt, headboard, pillow cases and lots of debris in the AC supply vent. The hotel is definitely in need of a remodel. A good sign is that they are still using single use bottles for shampoos instead of the refillable kind. Shower was not that great. It was oddly leveled so the water pooled in one spot. Water was leaking below when the shower head was on causing low water pressure. You can’t even select the water setting that sprays out when turning the shower head. With bits of mold forming on the walls. Caulking needed to be replaced. At the very least, no beg bugs or rodents!
There is a $25 hold charge that will be refunded after they review your stay moved checked out.
The main reason we didn’t bring this issue with the front desk was that, I determined there was not much they could do unless the higher ups decide to remodel this hotel. Due to the age, it is natural for everything to have this kind of...
Read moreI have never in my life delt with a more messed up hotel! The staff was awful! They went into our room without permission while the do not disturb sign was up while we were out saying our final goodbyes as my grandmother was passing away. They said they were upgrading the tv. But what they did was make a working tv, broken. When confronted they said we would have to speak to the daytime manager. The staff was informed that I was distraught after the tragic loss of my beloved Grandmother and was requested to leave me alone and direct any and all questions or comments to my husband. The manager rudely started fussing at me about this the next morning while I was at the breakfast buffett getting my family a little food to have in the room. Several times I told her I was very upset from the loss of my grandma and to please just talk to my husband. He was just upstairs. I broke down in tears from her badgering me while I was getting the breakfast with my young daughter. I went back upstairs with the food while drying my tears and told my husband what had happened. As he was getting dressed, the front office called. The manager said we had 2 hours to vacate her hotel even tho we had already paid for 2 more nights in cash. And that our money would be refunded by mail within 2 weeks! I was appalled but started to pack our stuff. Within 10 minutes that manager had fort worth police there to escort myself, my husband and 2 young children from the premisis! She told them that she was going to get us for trashing the room. But my husband asked the police to please come check the room and verify that it was not messed up or in dissarray. The police confirmed the room was fine and appologized for that manager lady being so awful. They coldnt understand why she was being that way. When we called the corperate offices to make them aware of the situation they informed us that because that woman had called the cops, the whole matter became an internal matter and nothing could be done. No appologies. Just nothing. If you want to be verbally and mentally abused and have your privacy invaded without cause or warning this hotel is the perfect...
