I don't know what happened to Chuy's but the food quality has went way down. It used to be decent but now is not good at all. Also the service was horrible. They forgot about us for seating. We had to remind them and then sat us at a table that was not even cleaned. It had food still on it. I told the waitress when she finally showed up after sitting for about 10 minutes and she said yes they did clean it. Before I could say anything she saw the food on the table and walked off to get a rag which smelled like it had not been changed/cleaned in a long time. We would have left at this point but it was already 9pm and options were slim. (Shoulda left anyways). She took our drink order and seemed frustrated with the kids asking what they had. I had to answer for her. She said just regular drinks. Made no sense. Well then she brought our queso but no chips. After that she finally brought all the drinks except for mine. Took her an additional 9 minutes to get me my drink. I timed it this time. Lol. Well we still haven't ordered yet. After sitting at the table for 27 minutes she finally asked if we were ready to order. She was also frustrated when taking the kids orders. She did a great job at her other tables and also sitting with her coworkers at another table. The food showed up and it was nasty. The crispy flautas were far from that. They were soft and the chicken tasted mushy. The shrimp tacos we're not at all as good as they used to be and the shrimp are a lot smaller. Looks like the small frozen shrimp in a bag at the grocery store. We said last time we were disappointed in the food quality and probably wouldn't go back. We decided to give it another chance but last night confirmed...
Read moreI came here because I have been craving Tex-mex food (I’m from west Texas as well as San Antonio where it’s almost always delicious). My friend told me to try it out so I did…but wow it was so disappointing. What I initially ordered was a beef burrito with Tex mex sauce, two beef enchiladas with Tex mex sauce and Mexican rice with refried beans, and a side order of queso with an alcoholic drink with lemon instead of lime and a coke. My order came and it was wrong, the enchiladas didn’t have the Tex mex sauce and the Tortillas were so dried out it was nasty to me. They could have been mini burritos…which I tried to do…but it was hard to muster down. On top of this my queso never came nor did my alcoholic drink. I got my soda but not the drink I really wanted to try out. My food came before my appetizer (queso). I had to ask about it before they brought it to me. All in all…super dissatisfied I don’t think I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for quite a few reasons. The only positive I can add is that the Mexican rice and refried beans are good as well as the queso…if you like sides instead of main dishes go here I suppose haha. The server was very kind and nice, but I think there must have been some miscommunication somewhere for all this to happen. I was so upset that I ended up paying my tab and leaving…I don’t want to make a scene and upset anyone. I’ll just go to a different Tex-Mex restaurant instead...
Read moreAlright, listen up folks, 'cause I gotta tell ya about my little trip to Chuy's Tex-Mex joint last Sunday afternoon. I strolled in like I owned the place, and boom, I got seated right away, no hassle, no nonsense.
Now, let me tell ya about this server, they were on it like a pit bull on a T-bone steak. Chips and salsa kept coming like they were afraid I might starve while waiting for those beef fajitas. I mean, I could've eaten those chips all day, but I knew the real prize was yet to come.
When those sizzling beef fajitas finally hit the table, it was like a love affair between my taste buds and those tender, juicy morsels. I'm telling ya, it was like fireworks and a symphony of flavors right in my mouth.
And you know what? Chuy's Tex-Mex is hands down one of the best joints in town. It's like finding that perfect balance between spicy and savory, just like when you pull off a slick move on a date and make 'em laugh.
So, if you're looking for a Tex-Mex experience that's hotter than a Texas summer and tastier than grandma's secret recipe, head on over to Chuy's. You won't be disappointed, and your taste buds will thank ya like they're getting a standing ovation. Oh, and don't forget the chips and salsa dance while you wait for the main act, it's like a pre-game show that'll leave you wanting more....
