My husband and I always enjoy a seafood spot that serves oysters AND seafood boils. We found this little place in Fort Worth on our recent family Vacay. The place was cute - you could tell it was fairly newer. There was live music happening when we walked in, which was awesome. It wasnât too loud, but loud enough to enjoy and even sing along at times. The place had a very chill vibe, which we enjoyed. Thereâs a nice outdoor seating area, but we werenât able to enjoy that because of the Texas was summer heat. The food here was really yummy. The oysters were decent, but just that. Definitely not the best weâve had, or anywhere near. The seafood boil, though. It was worth the visit, for sure. We started with the oysters. My husband had a beer they had on tap and I had a Michelada. Both were excellent. The only bad part regarding their drinks - the need to update their beer menu. My husband ordered a beer, but it was out. This happened again with two other beers, and the waitress said those werenât beers that theyâd had in a long time. It took four beer orders before they finally had a beer he wanted. As far as food goes - my daughter ordered the Chicken Tender basket that came with French fries. She said they were some of the best chicken tenders sheâd ever had. High praise coming from my 10 year old! My husband and I shared the Crab Pack #3 that came with Lobster Tail, Shrimp, and Snow Crab LegsâŠand corn and potatoes. We had them out their Crab pack special sauce, with a spice level of 3 (called Almost There). We were NOT disappointed!!! It was AMAZING! So flavorful, and delicious with the perfect amount of heat! The shrimp peeled very easily, and the crab and lobster was some of the best weâd had in a while! Our biggest complaint about this spot was our waitress. She didnât really seem to know the menu or beer menu very well. She also wasnât the most helpful or friendly. She seemed really young, but I donât want to blame that. She rarely checked on us. There was the whole beer ordering issueâŠand we asked for garlic butter sauce 3 times for our lobster and crabâŠbut never got any. My daughter also asked for BBQ sauce. She said she didnât know if they had any, and would go check. She never came back. Aside from our waitress and the mediocre oysters - this place definitely was a good spot. Our seafood boil, my Michelada, and my daughterâs meal definitely made up for it. I would recommend this placeâŠ& Iâd even...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of awful. From the moment we walked in, things went downhill. After waiting to be seated, we were finally shown to our table, but our server seemed irritated by our presence, like we were more of a bother than a customer. Her attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, making the start of the evening pretty uncomfortable. When we tried to ask her about the menu since some items weren't clear, her response was lazy and confusing, which made us feel like we were bothering her even more. It was clear that she wasn't interested in helping us or providing any customer service. The real issue came when our food arrived. My father-in-law received a plate that was ridiculously spicy, which he hadnât ordered. My fiancĂ©eâs plate, on the other hand, was completely bland. We immediately realized there was a mix-up, and when we brought it to the server's attention, she insisted that everything was correct, which was baffling. We knew the mistake wasnât hers but rather the kitchen's, but she refused to acknowledge that. After going back and forth with the server, we requested to speak with a manager. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come over, and even then, the manager wasnât convinced by our side of the story. He actually used his phone flashlight to inspect the food, which felt completely unprofessional. Eventually, he agreed to have the food remade, but by then, the damage was already done. Our appetites were ruined, and the whole experience left a sour taste in our mouths. The food itself was disappointingâbland and unseasoned, with no real flavor to speak of. I even saw another review that mentioned the food tasted like it was seasoned with mud, and honestly, I couldnât agree more. It was a huge letdown. In the end, we paid the full bill, despite the poor service and terrible food. I wonât be returning, and I strongly suggest others avoid this place. There are plenty of better dining options in the area that actually care about...
Read moreI have NEVER written a bad review IN MY LIFE, but let me tell you about me and friendâs experience. To start off, our server was not genuine and lacked the general understanding of customer service. Everything felt very forced and it made the experience awkward/uncomfortable. Onto the next issue, the food was STRAIGHT LACKIN in every way possible (portions, freshness, flavor, originality). For appetizers we ordered the scampi butter crab claws and raw oysters. The order of crab claws was not butter scampi, they were battered and deep fried (making them dry and flavorless). It came with a side of melted butter to dip in but it was a let down, being $16.95 with only about 18 crab claws IF EVEN. Oysters werenât bad, however they do not come shucked completely and we had to ask for silverware and plates. Next up the entrees, our seafood boil was mediocre nothing special about it. Garlic noodles were overwhelmingly packed with black pepper but still managed to lack any good flavor. Nearing the end of the meal, a live cricket decided to join us to cool down from this Texas heat in the bed of ice water thatâs been melting from our oyster that hadnât been pre-bussed. I quickly moved to the other side of the booth with my friend because the cricket had leaped off the table and onto the chair. Upon being on the other side, I was so grossed out and believe it or not there was more. Above the table in front of us there was a cricket crawling on the ledge above the window, it jumped down onto their table as well (surprisingly they did not notice). As we were leaving we saw yet ANOTHER courageous fellow crawling along the dining room floor. Regardless of this monstrosity of an experience, we still tipped 18% and did not expect any compensation (which upon reading previous reviews, we would not have been helped anyways). Take my experience into consideration and do with it what you please. YOU HAVE...
