Edit: I came back here again next Saturday (Jan 27, 2024) just to give another chance. It is a totally different experience, great coffee, exceptional barista. Maybe you want to check who was working on my first visit. I don’t know why I had a poor experience here. I went to Austin location before and was quite happy with it. So our first choice of coffee after moving to FW was here.

My friend and went there last Sunday (Jan 21, 2024) at noon. When we arrived, all seats are taken which is fine, we walked to the counter and looked around for seats and what to order. The barista first sentence’s to us was “All seats are taken”, then she turn away. We weren’t sure at that point if we will be kicked out? However we agreed that we just order the drink and stood at bar and ordered. Before we got the drink, someone left. We order one cortado with oat milk and one hot latte with whole milk.

Another huge draw, coffee were poorly brew. Coffee were both over extracted. My friend said that “oh, no latte art”, it was just just foam of milk. We weren’t expecting swan or competition level latte art but the fact that barista put milk in foam like this shows the poor skill of brewing.

I am not sure I will go back again…

There are may empty space, the shop could use the space to put more seats/tables. The bar could have added some...

Mixed experience — great vibe, but the service and coffee fell flat

I stopped by Flat Track Coffee in Fort Worth drawn in by the aesthetic—and I’ll admit, the atmosphere is really well done. It has a stylish, minimal vibe that’s perfect for hanging out or getting a little work done.

Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The barista/cashier seemed disinterested and gave off a noticeably negative energy. A simple smile or friendly greeting would’ve gone a long way—it’s something you expect at any coffee shop, especially one with such a welcoming space.

The coffee was okay, but nothing memorable. With such a strong brand and vibe, I expected the drinks to be more dialed in. Same goes for the food—pretty underwhelming overall.

Rating breakdown:

⭐️ Atmosphere: 4/5 — stylish and comfortable

⭐️ Food & Drink: 2/5 — average coffee

⭐️ Service: 1/5 — not friendly or welcoming

Flat Track has potential, but there’s room for improvement in the service and coffee quality to match the space...

Been going here for quite a while and I always love the drinks, but I was disappointed today. One of the baristas made a drink for a customer that was sitting next door. He walked the glass out but came back a few minutes later with the glass and stated that the customer’s drink was supposed to be hot and not iced. The other barista said it was ok and that they would just use the drink for mine instead. I thought it was very strange they wouldn’t make a fresh one especially after walking it outside to a different customer. They proceeded to dump the drink into a to go cup and then add the ingredients for my drink. I was disappointed how the drink tasted especially since it included honey which does not dissolve in an iced drink… Hope this doesn’t happen to...

Great decor, but the mocha and Matcha just did not taste great at all, and honestly the staff could use some re-training. Your staff and how they treat customers, especially first time customers, really makes a difference between if they’ll ever consider returning or not and we don’t plan on returning. They were quick but, unwelcoming, uninviting, and unhelpful. The price point for the quality of drinks that I got was not impressive. The Matcha and other cups don’t fit in the cupholder well and the Matcha spilled everywhere. Overall, it was just really disappointing. The mocha tasted like melted chocolate and water. The to go lid wasn’t secure, thankfully I caught that beforehand. The iced mocha was practically all ice and still gritty somehow.

I rarely write reviews, but I've been working remotely from this coffee shop almost daily for the past few weeks and really love it. The baristas are super friendly, seasonal drinks are great, food is tasty, and the vibes are chill! Another huge plus is that I actually enjoy the music they play and appreciate that it's played at a reasonable volume. Call me old and boring, but nothing will make me leave a coffee shop faster than a barista blaring EDM. My only beef is that I wish they were open a smidge later. But hey, nothing is perfect. I've been here a few times now, and have tried the drip, pour-over, cold brew, and a croissant. All fabulous! On my most recent visit, I got a bag of the Side Pipe Blend. Notes of chocolate and raw sugar? Sign me up! The next day, I opened the bag to brew myself a cup. BOOM! I was blown away by the rich, chocolaty aroma of the beans. They weren't kidding with the flavor notes! The roast is a little lighter than my usual go-to, but wow was it delicious.
