I love freshly made sushi; it's not a secret in my household. I tend to love many things about Japan, particularly their approach to cuisine (and maintaining their heritage and traditions for that matter) that has been lost to most of the rest of the world in the last 50 or so years. Quality food, presentation, order and cleanliness, flavor, etc., so I have a certain expectation for a place titled Japanese Kitchen. This was our first visit on a father-daughter day that is quite rare in itself, no less having an agreeable new place to try for lunch. I was not disappointed, and neither was my young daughter who's a notoriously picky eater. I had the King Kong Roll, she the California Roll, and we supplemented with an order of fried calamari (it unabashedly says squid on the menu, yay!), and we finished with two Mochi ice creams. Flavor and presentation were amazing, full of flourish that I was hoping to see, and the service was excellent. They seem to get a decent lunch crowd but are quick and efficient, as one might expect. And honestly for the quality, you'd be hard-pressed to get a better deal on freshly made sushi anywhere in town for the same price. We will return repeatedly for as long as they are open, and we'll certainly help maintain that as best we can! Update: visit #2 with the daughter is in the books, and another specialty roll marked on our 'to try' list! ❤ After the amazing experience with the King Kong roll, my daughter tried and demolished that one while I savored the Hashi roll. Equally delicious with balanced sea-inspired ingredients, but it must be said that The King has set a benchmark not yet surpassed. 😋

Took my daughter here yesterday for an early birthday lunch. Their takoyaki and teriyaki bowl were delicious! The edamame was edamame. The sushi was what you'd expect from the more fast-foodish type of restaurant that they seem to be; mediocre, but not bad. Their sushi rice lacks rice vinegar, so that detracts from the flavor you expect to find in good sushi. You are able to dine-in, but it isn't a "sit down" restaurant experience. Everything is just brought out as it's ready. No pacing or course order. (Not a bad thing if you're looking for something quick though!) The one staff member that we saw/interacted with was very pleasant and the establishment was clean and welcoming. Overall, not a bad first-time experience.

On Wednesday 7/17 I entered this establishment to pick up an order for DoorDash. I checked in with the front counter attendant after entering and was told there would be a 5 minute wait for the order to be completed. I wait for the 5 minutes which turns into 10 minutes so I ask about the order and am again told it would be just a few minutes. I understandably wait another 10 minutes at which time I choose to unassign the order from myself because DoorDash gave me the option to do so as the order was taking so long.. I go to leave and a man in a green shirt( I assume the manager that was “huffing and puffing” all over the restaurant) comes from behind the counter to give me the order. I politely tell him that I’ve unassigned the order and that another driver would be by soon to pick it up.. the man in the green shirt physically rolls his eyes at me and extends his hand to making a “shooing” motion as if dismissing me and then states, “you are useless, get out.” The audacity.

This is such disrespectful behavior for any service employee not to mention a manager. I’m not your employee and if your treat your employees as such I hope they want better for themselves. I assume by this man’s behavior and the many other comments and reviews I’ve read about this store that he is the manager. If you are the owner and are reading this comment please know that this man is actively destroying your restaurant and your business’s reputation. This man should not be a manager and setting the example for the rest of your staff. I will NEVER return to this location as a customer and I will definitely be on-guard when picking up a...

The only thing that tasted decent was my edamame and shrimp. I ordered two edamame, egg rolls, hibachi shrimp for myself and added scallops, and hibachi chicken for my husband via Uber eats. The scallops smelled fishy as soon as I opened my dish and tasted even worse. I spit it back out. The shrimp tasted normally but I still couldn’t finish my meal because my noodles were too greasy. My husbands chicken was under seasoned and he said his fried rice didn’t taste like fried rice. My edamame was good but my husbands was under cooked. Neither of us could eat more than a bite out of the egg rolls because they tasted terrible. My Dr. Pepper was completely flat in a large cup with no ice. My husband was given a coke in the bottle. I would have ordered the coke if I’d known the Dr. Pepper was going to be so bad. With all the options available for hibachi I will definitely not eat here again and recommend anyone considering this place try...
