I went in at 8:49 for my dinner on Thursday July 30th. Mind you they close at 9 pm. I didnt think I was doing anything wrong seeing as i had 11 minutes and was looking at the menu for about 2 minutes to see what me and my friend wanted to eat. At about 8:52 a girl employee rudely said to me "could you hurry up because we are about to close!!." I was not OK with her tone and not to mention her manager Katie was standing right there and didnt say anything about the way she addressed me with 8 minutes until close. I proceeded to tell both the employee and the manager i was sorry but I was just finalizing my order to relay to them. They made my sandwich and then they rushed me for my toppings even though we all knew they couldnt do toppings until after the toasting process. I as a customer told them i was very sorry i came in late and i appreciated them serving me even though i knew they were eager to go home and didnt want to make my sandwich. They agreed...I saw them lock the doors at 8:55. I would have been OK with this experience but the friend i was with that they insisted was my boyfriend and made fun of us to boot bc he has a disability was in the restroom and they didnt know it. I got my sandwich payed and walked out the door and praised them with thank yous and that i would try to come in earlier next time. When he left the restroom and made his way out he heard them talk about me in ways I am embarassed to even say on here. I cried when he told me what they said about me. That is ABSOLUTELY the worst customer service I have ever had. I shouldnt have to feel bad for coming in because i am hungry 10 minutes before close. Especially because i love Pot Belly and traveled 20 minutes out of The way due to the fact that this is one of the only ones open in Fort Worth. And on top of it shouldn't have to hear from my friend he heard them talking bad about me as soon as i left bc they thought no one else was in the building. This isn't the only bad experience I have had with this manager. She has been rude and not held her employees accountable a couple of times I have been here to order lunch or dinner. I frequent this location and spend a ton of my food allowance on Potbelly but I am sad to say I will not be back to Potbelly ever again bc of this. I have let many things slide due to the attitudes and poor management and lack of accountibility here....but no more. I will find another sub shop that treats their customers better....even if the bread isnt as amazing. Perhaps...
Read moreWent in on a day when it is 13 degrees outside walked one step in the door and the manager says "sir you have to leave" see I'm currently down on my luck a little bit and homeless at the moment. But went in with money and fully intended on buying a sandwich to go because most people are awful to homeless people anyway. But everyone else that works at this store has been nice in the past with the exception of the store manager. This guy is a snob and a complete (word that would get censored if I put it) whoever is in charge should get rid of this coward who would call the cops on someone rather than just take money and shut his hateful mouth and make the sandwich. Seriously it doesn't take much at all to be a decent human being. It seems like it would be more difficult and cause way more problems to be a hateful prick like this guy is. Potbelly higher ups should get rid of this guy. Go to Kincaid's nextdoor they have great food and they are wonderful people from the manager to the lowest level employee all great people. Give them your business instead until potbelly gets rid of the prick in...
Read moreThe food was good. I ordered the Mediterranean and had the broccoli cheddar soup on the side. Both had great flavor. And the service was okay. Employees were friendly, for the most part. The bathroom needed some attention, but overall the place was clean.
I give only three stars because I feel that the price is too high for what I received. At Subway, at least I can ask for more veggies on my sub and actually get them without paying more.
And when I went back to ask if I could get some crackers or croutons for my soup, the lady was hesitant and asked me if they were for me or someone else. In my opinion, I paid for my soup and I should be able to get crackers if they are available...whether I plan to eat them myself or share them with someone else.
If I return, I will be more likely to get a salad.
Also, I just noticed that the owner has a canned response for people who do not write favorable reviews. The people who tell of positive experiences receive responses unique to their review. The canned response just tells me that you really don't care about my experience at...
