Been a customer for 3 years. My daughter loves this place and I think it’s just okay. Tonight I noticed a customer drinking from a water pitcher. I’m addition to that the manager walked around to every table except ours. When she walked past us she did it even look at us. She was more than friendly and accommodating to certain customers. I asked the waitress and the waitress who was surprised she never came to our table after visiting the other tables 2-3 times. I told her I noticed it the last three times but for my daughters sake I overlooked it. When my daughter asked me why “that lady never comes to our table mommy”. I had to make it a teachable moment and asked to speak with her. I told her that I noticed she didn’t stop at our table and I wanted to introduce myself as a customer of 3 years. Suddenly, there was a language barrier. I told her that we were nice life her preferred customers and frequent this business too often to be ignored. Again, language barrier. I told my daughter that despite how kind everyone else is, we won’t be returning since customers that look like us aren’t embraced like the preferred customers. Despite skin color, my money is green and I can spend my money elsewhere. My daughter learned a lot today because I had to explain and answer questions I shouldn’t have had to. All customers deserve the same respect.

Our favorite place for sushi- we have been eating here for years and they treat us like family. They still ask about our friends that moved away 3 years ago that would come with us! Not only is the service amazing, the sushi is fresh and delicious! Depending on how adventurous you are, you can ask for something fun to try and they can get creative - we ended up getting hooked on UNI shooters this way!!!! Volcano roll was not our favorite because it seemed very bland but it is a cooked fish roll and just wasn't what we were expecting. TAO roll was AMAZING - it has lobster, crab, greens, tobiko, avocado, mango, and soft seaweed - absolutely amazing! Cutting carbs? Try the Tombi roll which is wrapped in cucumber "paper" and filled with masago, crab, shrimp and avocado - delicious light and fresh! Had a simple tuna avocado roll and it was good too! Amazing place, amazing food, amazing service!

When we sat for lunch we were given our menu with the lunch suggestions up. It was around 1 on a Sunday, so I was surprised. I asked if they were serving lunch specials & our server answered in the affirmative. We made our choices & prepared to order. Another server approached and told us we wouldn’t be allowed to order lunch because it was a holiday (Father’s Day). I’m all for made up holidays but telling two women no after saying yes - I’ll admit my chagrin is disproportionate to the crime but what I wanted was only available as a combo on this menu. Grrrrr. For this alone I’d like to take away a star, but I won’t. The edamame was remarkably underdone, under salted & took forever. The salad was gorgeous with tons of avocado & a nice ginger dressing served on the side. The sushi was acceptable. Not awful, but not a place I’m prepared to rush back to. :(

If I could give this restaurant a zero star I would. Yesterday at about 7 pm me and a friend of mine wanted some sushi. We went to this place because of the rating. We were having a good day. We got seated and we got our drink order was taken. The first waiter was quite rude and with us but we shrug it off. It was quite busy so we gave it a chance. We were sitting at a table meant for 2 people. Another waitresses asked us to move to a booth while she sat a party of 8. Okay slightly frustrating but we will shrug this off. We were served our drinks then we were deciding what to eat. The tables next to us was getting served and the order was being taken for the party of 8 and we were just sitting there. It took another 20-30 to get our order. This waitress was the sweetest thing (another waitress) and took our order. She was professional and lovely when she took our order. Another waiter gave us our sushi and he was so nice as well. We had the chicken Katsu and we didn’t know it came with salad and a miso soup. The last waiter (the rude one) came and gave us our food and slammed our food on our table. My friend left because of how rude he was. We both lost our appetite from how unwelcome we felt. I told the nice waiter that we wanted to leave and he was quite understanding and asked his manager about paying our bill. I waited and the nice waitress came to us apologizing and I told her that it wasn’t her that she was so nice and welcoming but other just ruined it for us. She gave me the check to the drinks and the sushi lady came from the back and told me “you came to the wrong place, sushi is raw fish” 😒 like I didn’t know that and kept repeating the same line. I said that i just wanted to pay for my drink and leave and I left. I will never EVER go back...

TL;DR: Amazing place all around that we had visited for years on a weekly basis, sometimes more. We haven't found anything like it since we moved.

My wife and I have been going there ever since we moved to Fort Worth. We started with them when they were in their original location and we continued with them long after they moved to their current one.

I have tried everything on their menu at least once and found not a single bit of it to be lacking. The fish is always fresh and the rolls are never so caked in rice that it buries everything else, and even the rice itself has flavor without being overpowering. Be adventurous and try the unusual things like the uni or the salmon roe. The uni shooters are a particular favorite of ours.

The staff is friendly and has been just about the same since we started going there way back in 2016. They saw our entire journey through graduate school week by week, and knew us by sight and our orders by heart, even though we tended to change them up every now and then.

The lunch special is absolutely the best deal there and is an absolutely fair price compared to other places for the quality that you get, and the quality itself is - if you haven't gathered already - amazing.

We moved away more recently and we have not been able to find anything like it since, and we now make it a point to stop in whenever we happen to be in town for something. Be nice to the crew there and be patient and you will be...
