Our book club (Books & Brews - FTW Women) had an absolutely fantastic experience at Salute Wine Bar! For this month’s meeting, we wanted something with a bit more elegance to celebrate Galentine’s while diving into our book discussion, and this spot delivered. From start to finish, we were treated like queens and enjoyed every second. Organizing the event was pretty simple—reserving our space and pre-ordering food was a smooth process. That said, I did have to reach out myself to confirm details and place the food order. It would have been nice if they had initiated that follow-up, as busy seasons can make those little things easy to forget. But once everything was set, it was seamless. For our group of 25, we pre-ordered three meat & cheese boards and two orders of bread with olive oil, which were all high-quality and delicious. Some of our members also ordered additional items once they arrived. The wine dispensing system was a fun and unique touch, and each of us got individual instructions on how to use it—super helpful! Despite our large group, checking out at the end was quick and painless. The ambiance was perfect. The host immediately asked if the music volume was okay (such a thoughtful touch), and the Valentine’s Day décor made everything feel extra special. The space is on the smaller side, but for us, it was just right—especially since we had the opportunity to get in an hour before they opened. All in all, Salute Wine Bar was an excellent choice for our gathering. Whether you’re planning a date night, girls’ night, or a cozy small group event to explore different wines, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

First time visiting this charming winery for a girls’ day during happy hour, and what a delight it was! The location is convenient, with parking available and plenty of nearby food options within a 1-5 minute drive or walk—perfect for those looking for more than just light bites. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by a lovely lady and the owner, Jill. It’s always inspiring to support a thriving, women-owned business. Jill explained the setup for dining, drinking, and tasting, and let us know seating was open—super helpful for first-timers like us. The wine selection is impressive, featuring a variety of whites, rosés, reds, and even cocktails to suit different tastes. The menu offers delicious light bites with thoughtful wine pairings, which I really appreciated. The establishment itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, and very welcoming. There’s even a small outdoor dining area, which is a nice touch. My top recommendations from the wine list are the Vina Robles Viognier and the Predator Old Vine Zinfandel—both a perfect 10/10! Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. Jill was amazing, and our girls’ day was a success. I’ll definitely be returning—especially during happy hour!

I love the atmosphere and the ability to try so many different labels of wine. Helen was amazing at walking us through the process. I wish there were more options for food for gluten and nut allergies but the cheese board was great minus the crackers. You were given a card that you put into the machine and you get to decide how much of a serving you want. Every time you put the card in the machine again it tells you what your totals at so far. The machines serve out white, rosé, and red ( mostly dry… But I’ll be honest some of them were not too dry - in fact I found a new favorite). The bubbly and sweet wines are kept behind the bar and you just let your server know and they pour you your portion. We went within 20 minutes of them opening so we had to play ourselves for a bit… And then another couple came in and they group as we were leaving… But it made for a beautiful early afternoon, girls day!

A Cozy Gem for Wine Lovers

After a long day in court, I visited Salute, a charming wine bar tucked away off 7th Street. I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by Jill, the warm ambiance and soft music playing in the background. This combination created a perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening.

The wine selection is fantastic, with a wide variety of reds, whites, and even some unique blends I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Jill was incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain how the card system worked and offering personalized recommendations based on our preferences. I opted for a smooth Malbec and it didn’t disappoint.

What really stood out was the food menu. The small plates and charcuterie board were excellent accompaniments to the wine. The cheeses were fresh, and the meats were perfectly paired. It was clear that a lot of thought went into crafting a menu that complements the wine selection.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the vibe was perfect for either a casual night out with friends or a romantic evening. I’ll definitely be coming back soon, and I recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great wine and...
