Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Fort Worth

Subject: All people should be treated equal and not judged (AND GIVEN A DIRTY CUP) because they appear a certain type of way (without visible handbags & wallet insinuate the AVAILABILITY OF MONEY$$$)

So I may have broken out with a sweat, making a health conscious decision to take a run. As Sonic is known for catering to those who embrace “the great outdoors,” (considering the skating and outside dining retreats)* I decided to stop here to buy a cup of water.

Note: Because I am a huge fan of Sonic’s ice and buy it by the bags & in large cups (ON-A-REGULAR)

This particular visit, I happen to have been sweaty DUE TO TEXAS HEAT (SELF-EXPLANATORY) & from my run.

At the counter I asked for water… “It will cost!” the cashier said…

I was confused because I knew this AND OF COURSE I WAS PREPARED TO PAY… (only, this particular trip, on foot “jogging,” I did not carry a bag or wallet)

I SAID THATS FINE… then before discussing the size, “it’s 45 cents,” the cashier said.

What was really confusing was, she then asked, “what size?”

I knew I would be running a while, I then replied, “a complimentary size cup and pointed to the tiniest cup.”

She grabbed something larger and said, “this is the one you will get.” I ASSUME I COULD NOT GET A FREE COMPLIMENTARY TINY CUP, FOR A COST, OR COMPLETELY… which was okay.

I agreed and attempted 3 times to swipe my card for the 45 cents… After holding up the line (a humiliating, embarrassing, & belittling feeling, appearing thirsty while drenched in sweat) another cashier confirmed to her and stated, “this register is down,” and told her to allow me to have the water.

After drinking it and ALMOST gone, I noticed dirty stains in the bottom of my cup.

All people should be treated equal and not judged because they appear a certain type of way...

Ordered on the app last night and waited in the drive thru 10 minutes. Decided to go inside instead to pick up my order which said 5-7 minutes. Let the teenager at the counter know, was told they were working on it. Noticed all employees seemed to be teens and it was chaotic and messy. Waited about 15 minutes and nothing. Asked again and was told they were out of ice cream and couldn't complete the order. I asked why they didn't say that before, they couldn't answer. No apology for the inconvenience, just told if I wanted a refund I needed to call Customer Service because it was on the app, 30 minutes and left with nothing. I will just drive to Benbrook or Overton...

Yummy 😋. I love Sonic. The service and food is amazing 🤪.

I got the cheesecake shake, mozzarella sticks, and a burger. They all came out delicious. The mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside, and nice and cheesy on the inside. The cheesecake shake was so sweet and delicious. The burger was nice and juicy. The food was so good this time around.

The service was so great. The cashier was nice. The restaurant is also very clean. There isn’t a single speck on the floor. Perfect for dining in.
