If Sylvia is making your sandwich, DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. We placed an order for pick up and came before they started making our sandwiches. As we were waiting, I noticed that she was using her phone while wearing the same gloves she was prepping our sandwiches with. I was uncomfortable watching her go back and forth from her phone, to making our sandwiches and decided to speak up and kindly asked her to use different gloves to put the toppings on our sandwiches (which I should have asked her to remake our sandwiches to begin with). She changes her gloves and proceeds to make the sandwiches until I looked up from where we were waiting and realized she had the audacity to use her phone AGAIN right after I told her that it was unsanitary. At this point we requested for a refund as our experience was not only unsanitary, but completely disrespectful. Sylvia then says “I’m the assistant manager here and I can’t process the refund, you’ll have to come back tomorrow morning.” Unbelievable that an assistant manager doesn’t know basic health protocols let alone basic customer service. I ask the other employee working if she can remake our sandwiches and Sylvia says “Not without my permission. I have to call my manager to see if we can remake it.” She calls her manager on the phone and doesn’t tell the manager the whole story, but tells them that we asked her to change her gloves and still wanted her to remake the sandwiches leaving out the part that she was USING HER PHONE. Read moreI frequent this Subway with my family and the service and sandwiches are usually very good. Today was a totally different story. I have never encountered this employee and hope to never encounter her again. She had a horrible attitude, not once smiled, barely made eye contact and said maybe 5 words. I purchased 3 sandwiches. First she pulled out the bread, which appeared to have been beaten with cans. I asked for a different loaf and she rolled her eyes, but got it. Veggie time, I asked for lettuce on one of my sandwiches and it was brown throughout. I asked if there was any fresh lettuce in the back. She exhaled and snatched the container for the line and went to the back to retrieve fresh lettuce. The customer behind me looked at her and then me and said, "That's not suppose to look like that" and shook her head. Lauren then took the brown lettuce from my sandwich, never once apologizing or making eye contact. She was by far, one of the rudest people I have ever met. If management(Virginia Lynch) reviews this, I hope that someone speaks with her about her poor customer service, because she is going to cost this place a lot of money. Very disappointed. I waited for 20 minutes and the person behind the counter I believe his name was Jamie kept on telling me to hold on because the orders were coming in through the mobile service and because he failed to check the system he made me wait even longer which kept me and my spouse from getting lunch on her lunch break which is an hour long. I told him that I would have to leave because I've been waiting for too long and he said "oh yeah that's fine." It's wrong and I feel completely mistreated as a patron of this establishment. He allowed me to wait as I was standing there on my phone, I kept on looking at him and the only thing he could say was, wellI have orders coming through. Also considering there was nobody in line when I went into the establishment it's completely unacceptable for him to allow someone to wait 20 minutes and then pass them off as though they had just walked inside.
Honestly I would not even recommend going to this establishment considering there are other better sandwich locations in this area, if they want to take our business for granted...
