Great food, terrible service! Ordered 2 coconut juice for almost $4 each. My sister ordered without ice because she gets sore throat easily, they gave her less than half a glass. Already annoyed, but we let it go even though no where on the menu it mentions if you order drinks without ice you get less than half a glass. We got there around 8:20ish, restaurant closes at 9:30pm. Between 8:50 and 9:10 the server checked 3 times to see if we were done eating. Felt very rushed! I understand they were trying to close but according to their stated hours the restaurant was open for 30 more minutes. Since they feel so rushed to close the restaurant that they don't even respect paying customers, they might as well have a sign saying "must vacate table by 9pm". I try my best to tip fairly, but after the 3rd time when I noticed the server come by to check again then roll her eyes, I removed most of the cash tip I was going to leave. I was done at that point. Definitely not going back. Good food is not worth bad customer service. There are better Thai food around with quality service. Check out Sea Siam in Keller, Thai Ocha and Royal YUM in Denton. They are...
Read moreSo, my wife and I love Thai food. But as we all know who live in Fort Worth, Thai food is a saturated market as is Pho and Vietnamese food, essentially turning it into a buyers market. So, here's the honest truth about this restaurant, it's just okay.
My wife and I had the following things. Massaman Curry, Drunken Noodles, Papaya Salad, and Crab Rangoon's.
Best to worst:
1 - Crab Rangoon's - crunchy and chewy and yummy cream cheese. Drunken Noodles - soft noodles, tender meat, nice flavor Papaya Salad - this is actually a tie with the noodles, nice and spicy and refreshing, could have used more peanuts. 6 - Massaman Curry - I realize I missed 4 and 5, but that's how much worse the curry was comparatively. Soup was lacking flavor, we asked for heat 4 and it was the least spicy thing we ate. The potatoes were a step away from raw, so hard you couldn't even put your fork or teeth into. We had to microwave them for multiple minutes just to make them soft enough to eat. Broccoli was also undercooked, bordering on raw.
Honestly if you want good curry with nice cooked vegetables, go to Thai Rice and...
Read moreThe khao soi is amazing. If you cant decide if you want curry or a noodle dish, it's the best of both worlds with a flavorful curry broth, chewy noodles, & topped with crispy fried noodles. & the portion is huge. This dish somewhat hard to find, which is what prompted us to drive over 30 mins to eat here.
Sadly our experience wasnt all good, my daughter ordered pad thai & got these tiny little cellophane noodles... This is not the type of noodle that should be used in pad thai. I've been to dozens of thai restaurants & have never seen cellophane noodles used in pad thai before. It was very disappointing to us that such a common dish was made incorrectly. My daughter has texture issues & did not like these noodles when she expected the thicker rice noodles that are supposed to go in pad thai. I looked at pictures of other reviews & compared them to what we got & can see others got the correct noodles. The menu also says "Stir-fried thin rice noodle" not cellophane noodles like would come in a pad woon sen. So I'm not sure what the issue was, but it's definitely...
