Don’t go here! Don’t waste your time or money at this racist place! Me and two girlfriends decided to dine here yesterday evening. The first Friend arrived, and she asked for a table inside. The hostess told her they only had outside seating because all the indoor seating was taken by reservations. The hostess was a tall lady with gray colored eyes. My friend said outside seating was fine so they sent her outside. She ordered some apps then I arrived and when I arrived, they told me where my friend was seated. I looked around the restaurant and there was about 5 to 8 empty tables and I asked if we could be seated inside and she told me the same thing so I go outside to the patio and sit with my friend later on three white girls sit next to us out on the patio and they were there. Maybe two minutes the waiter came out and they told them if they could be moved inside and they quickly got up and moved them inside. The third Friend arrived shortly after this incident she said that the hostess told her oh are you here with your Hispanic friends and they’re outback in the patio? She sat down in the patio area with us when another couple was seated and again they asked to be moved inside and they didn’t move them at this point. I was really irritated so I asked the waiter and told them that we were told there was no inside seating because they were all reserved but mentioned how the other two tables were sat down and moved inside immediately when asked the waiter said he would see what he could do. It took them a bit to go back-and-forth and finally they move this inside. I was really disappointed and frustrated as this is the first and last time I will be going to this establishment do not waste your time or money once again when we were moved inside, I looked around and the tables were still empty mind you we were there a good timeframe anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours and the tables were never used! And literally every single person that was dining inside was white the only other Hispanics or the workers and me and my group of friends… Very disappointing. I will definitely be posting my review all over the place to let others know about the horrible service at this location, don’t waste your time money or energy here never...
Read moreAlright, buckle up buttercups, because I just stumbled out of Tinies in downtown Fort Worth, and I'm here to tell you it's like finding a twenty-dollar bill in an old winter coat – unexpectedly delightful! This place is playing it cool, almost like it's a secret society of delicious Mexican food that doesn't want to brag too much. But listen, folks, the word needs to get out. First off, their shrimp tacos? Holy shrimp! They were so good I almost considered writing a tiny love letter to them on a napkin. Then came the goat tacos, which were surprisingly not gamey at all, just pure, savory goodness. And their enchiladas? Forget about it. They were the kind of comforting hug your taste buds didn't know they needed. Now, let's talk about the grown-up juice. Their mezcal selection is legit. You can tell they know their smoky business. And the tres leches? Oh. My. Sweet. Heavens. It was like a cloud made of milky, sugary dreams. I might have shed a single, happy tear. The folks working there are sweeter than a ripe mango. Our server was on point, friendly, and didn't bat an eye when I asked if I could serenade my tacos (I didn't, don't worry). And their rooftop? It's not trying to be fancy, just a chill spot to sip your mezcal and contemplate the meaning of life, or maybe just what you're going to order next. Now, if I had to nitpick – and you know I do, it's in my reviewer DNA – their salsas could use a little more oomph. They're not bad, just not quite the firecracker I was hoping for. And listen up, Tinies, a coffee machine wouldn't go amiss. Although, I have to admit, their carajillo was a stroke of genius, with a little hint of cacao that made my post-dinner buzz even better. It was like a caffeinated, chocolatey high-five to my soul. So, the verdict? Go to Tinies. Seriously. It's that unassuming little gem that punches way above its weight. Just maybe bring your own hot sauce if you're a spice fiend, and be prepared to leave with a happy belly and a newfound appreciation for a Mexican spot that keeps it real but delivers the goods. You can...
Read moreI have been to Tinie's multiple times and it is definitely the best place to catch a vibe in FW! I go back just about every other week tbh bc it's that great.
Drinks: I love their regular Casita Margarita! It's not overly sweet, it's made fresh, not from some premix. As a person who loves heat, the Tres Amigos has a nice little spicy kick but is balanced out with the pineapple juice. There is also a super unique selection of wines from the wine growing region of Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico which I think is so cool! And if you don't see anything you like, the bartender can make you what you want! There's also a cool selection of beer from countries like Brasil and Honduras and of course Mexico.
Food: I've been here for both dinner and brunch. I like Tinie's bc it's a good place to share things if that's your jam. For apps I recommend the potato taquitos, the trio of guac, and the empanadas! The zanahorias (carrots) are my favorite side dish.
For dinner I love the rotisserie chicken or even the aged strip. Both are cooked to perfection. It comes with a bunch of sides to build your own tacos and the presentation of everything is beautiful.
For brunch, I loved the fruit and granola. I am not a sweet breakfast person, but the drizzle of agave with the mangoes, papaya, and oranges isn't overly sweet. It's also comes with pepitas/pupmkin seeds. It's unique. Just get it for your table! The campechana is delicious as well. Additionally, mimosas can be OJ, mango or papaya juice!
Seating: I highly recommend to book in advance if you plan to come here on a Friday/Saturday night. Additionally, if you are booking in Open Table, booking outside does not guarantee the rooftop patio as there is a downstairs patio as well. You must specify in the Open Table booking you'd like the rooftop! If you do this you will be accommodated. I've seen too many people be rude to the hostesses...
