Bob's Footlongs — Restaurant in Fortuna

This was the most disappointing experience we have had there. When we walked in we were the only people in there. They waited for about 20 minutes to come and tell us they were out of mozzarella sticks so my son had to pick something else. Then they told us they were having trouble with the corn dog batter. I have attached a picture of it. It was very cooked on the outside but runny on the inside. I took the corndog back and they asked me if I wanted something else. I told them I would just get a pizza pocket. I figured that would be fast since we had already been there for 45 minutes. Finally after about 15 more minutes he went to ask if it was almost done. It wasn't because they forgot to cook it. My son wanted a chocolate ice cream come and they didn't have chocolate right now the girl said. I don't know that we will ever go back. I am so sad because for alot of years this was an amazing place and now...

EDIT: Came to try it a second time and this time was fantastic! Food was great, service was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone if you want the best corndog you've ever had. Definitely a great choice to have a self-serve soda machine.

Food was great, service was decent until I tried calling in because I noticed my drink had a whole bunch of black stuff in it and I wanted to let them know to check their soda machine or something but when I called and told them what happened the lady answered the phone said okay and then hung up on me. I understand you are busy but I’ve worked in customer service for a decade and wouldn’t dream of hanging up on someone when they express concern. I wasn’t even complaining or expecting free things I just wanted them to correct...

This was a takeout order so I can't speak to the atmosphere. This time I got a bacon double deluxe cheeseburger. My son got a deluxe cheeseburger. We got an order of garlic fries to share. And we both got chocolate shakes. I burgers were delicious. I recommend the shakes but they aren't listed in the options for recommendations. The garlic fries were okay. We couldn't taste the garlic and as usual, the fries were definitely not crispy, much less extra crispy like I always request. I still ate a few and they were "okay" with the thousand island to dip them in. My son got to eat most of them. My shake was fantastic. I always order extra extra chocolatey and it was definitely that. I assume that my son's was good since it was gone...
