Been several times for Sunday lunch specials but tonight tried BOGO night. Big mistake!!!! Our order was taken and we sat and drank our beers for about 45 minutes. We were patient but after 45 minutes we asked about the status of the food and they were clueless, did you give us your phone number? Umm, what? Been here several times and they never asked for my phone number before. Why tonight? They didn't have the number but they have my name for the tab....hmmmmm. They say it is coming but wait another 15 minutes and still nothing. We start to complain to the bartender. Then a "manager" comes up and asks about our issue. She has her card reader and says the order was just placed 10 minutes prior. Oh, hell no!!! That's too far, we told her it was over an hour ago, look at the beer order. We told her to cancel the order and we were leaving. She seemed to cancel everything but did she??? The systems here have always been sketchy, and tonight proved the systems have a large gap involving the people. Bartenders are slow, too many times walked by people wanting to order without even acknowledging the person waiting. A simple, be right with you, goes a long way. No eye contact doesnt mean people arent there. Your beers aren't that special, the pizzas are good but not good enough to deal with the lack of accountability. Just tell us you screwed up and we would understand, don't put in our order late, try to cover your butt and make us seem like we are the issue. Sorry, won't be back. Best part, as we got in the car we got the message our order was ready....really?!?! Thanks...
Read moreThe food hall itself only had 3 options and a bar but it covers the bases. (As of this post there is a Mexican, American, and Oriental option). Most people should be able to find something and if not there is pizza (onsite) next door. The beer brewed by Ft. Inm Brewery was good. I ordered a veggie wrap from Bistro 44 and it was delicious. Fries were also great. The food hall was spacious. The outside area was nice. They had a live band. No complaints there.
I am giving it 4 stars because the parking situation is awful and honestly the amount of kids running around with no supervision was terrible. I realize that's more on the parents visiting than the establishment but if that's the customer the Mill wants to attract it just may not be for everyone. I have a child and I was still very turned off so was the person I was with (also a parent). I saw a little boy peeing on the turf and nobody was paying attention. Kids were running around wild with no shoes on. It was gross. When I say kids I'm not talking about just a few. And wild ...they just weren't aware they weren't the only ones there ...running into you and knocking your drink out of your hand wild. We ended up having to go back inside because it made trying to watch the band unenjoyable. Maybe the Mill should make a designated play area or adults only after 9. I don't know the solution but the amount of unsupervised kids ruined the experience and I don't know that I'll be back. Just be aware if you were looking for a chill relaxing vibe while grabbing beer outdoors,...
Read moreFirst of all, this place was a fiasco. The concept of the restaurant is horrible. No one was at the front to tell us if it was sit yourself or wait for a hostess. When seated, you have to scan a QR code where it will “start a tab”
For this to work out, you’ll need to be in a spot with adequate cellular data, or a network that’s available for the customers. We tried to input our order three times and the website would not work.
Upon ordering, you’re not told that you need to get your water and your tea yourself. If you’re upstairs, you’ll need to go downstairs to get your beverage. Once the food came to the table we were told you also have to get your own plates and silverware which were located at a table at the back of the restaurant with no way finding whatsoever to help locate these amenities.
Waiters couldn’t find our table twice with our drinks and our appetizers (which alone were more than $30) we had to flag them down and let them know it was our order. There was no organization or a set server for our table/section. Pure chaos.
In my opinion, if I’m going to a restaurant where I am not served then I would rather stay at home. The very least this restaurant could do is place a manager or someone to observe patrons and ensure that they are not lost in this incredibly complex system.
And as I conclude my review, I must also point out the fact that the website forces you to tip even though you received relatively no service whatsoever.
It’s clear to me that if this restaurant wants to survive, then it must...
