Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

I hate doing this but if your machines are broken and your freezers don’t work then as an ice cream place you should tell the clients before they order. I ordered a gotta have it and was watching the kind girl make it. I thought it was something new that they softened the ice cream and then put it in the freezer to firm with the toppings and add ons..but no! The frozen plate was broken and the freezer that was holding the ice cream was not working properly. I ended up with two containers or a soupy mess. I kept hinting that it didn’t look right, but the excuse I got was that the pumpkin and double chocolate are softer than the rest of the other ice creams. Later I found that the cold stone that mixes was broken and was actually turning the ice cream into liquid. The poor girl behind the counter tried wiping the running ice cream off and putting napkins all around the container. I ate a few spoons inside, and basically paid $12 for something I threw outside. I wish I took pictures of that liquid goop, but my hands were so sticky that I didn’t even wanna reach for my phone. Hopefully in the future things will get fixed at this location….

Update: Got a call from the owner about the situation…gotta give him props for that. Discussed the situation with him and he said he will discuss it with the employees so that it won’t happen again to other clients. He offered some gift cards as compensation...

Horrible experience at Cold Stone Creamery Fountain Valley 7/18/23. After ordering and purchasing an ice cream for my daughter, saw the ad for this ice cream posted at the store and it said "try a sample of Barbie Pink Cotton Candy" When I asked for a sample after actually making a purchase, the girl that rang me up told me, "we don't give out samples"

Feels like New ownership and not as good as previously. The past 2 times I went they were out of dipped waffle cones and whipped cream. They used to make homemade whipped cream and it was amazing, the dipped waffle bowls (if they have them) have a tiny amount of chocolate and you can count the sprinkles. Seems like they are cutting corners...
