Tried Los Betos a couple of times now looking for something they can make that is edible. VOC lacks many fast food options and it amazes me that this place can stay in business. For example: A.) They don't even cut their carne asada on their tortas. They throw a thin piece of carne asada on the sandwich like it was a piece of lunch meat. The sandwich quickly fell apart as the steak for carne asada is often chewy (especially the dollar store brand). B.) The machaca burrito is basically eggs and jalapeños only the jalapeños are cut into some odd shape that make them stringy and impossible to eat without making a huge mess. While I can't speak for the inside of the establishment, I wish a food truck would park right in front of this place so we could have some decent food and hopefully something better than Filibertos! Not sure if the Camp Verde Dairy Queen store (formerly with the same name) is the same owner but that place was at least edible. I can't help but shake my head as this is the ONLY Mexican food joint that is worse than Filibertos and their nasty ecto-slime guacamole obsession!!! I wouldn't eat here again if it was free! If it was free, I'd still throw it on the floor in front of the chef and walk out. The subway next door could probably make better...
Read moreWent in there to order a combo meal and the cashier named lalo was very disrespectful. When I asked for a combo I started to list of the 2 combo items, enchilada and taco. When I said taco, he slammed his hand on the counter and threw the order sheet in the trash and opened the drawer to get a new one and slammed he drawer. And he then said 'are you done' and I said excuse me you need to have more respect he laughed and rolled his eyes . He wouldn't give me the managers number said there was not one on duty. I had to go on google to find the number and when I called to talk to the manager the next day he pointed out to me that the worker had given me a wrong name to give to the manager. Though the manager Juan was wonderful, I will not be returning to the establishment due to 'Lalo' . I do not suggest anyone else go there as it is a high class area and there are plenty of surrounding establishments that will provide good food AND good service . I did not get to order my food because Lalo said they do not do enchilada style burritos. Which was on the menu, so...
Read moreThis was basically my go-to place while staying in Sedona for almost a week. It's across the street from where I stayed and it's one of the only non-National Chain restaurant that had a Drive-Thru which was very welcome after already spending the entire day among throngs of tourists. I strongly recommend the fish burrito (a bit unusual for a burrito but well worth it) and their horchata. They also have a large variety of very filling breakfast burritos and a number of non-burrito items on their menu. The quesadillas are a bit simple with just meat and cheese but are huge and packed full of both. I also tried the Chorizo Torta which came on excellent bread but was a tad bland. I would just recommend maybe a different meat.
Lastly, the pricing is about $5-$8 for most menu items which is more than Taco Bell of course but for much larger and much tastier food. If you are looking to save a little money, avoid the crowds, and still enjoy food you can't always get outside the Southwest or even just Arizona I'd...
