This might be the best sushi spot in Denver.
HIGHS:
Excellent food Amazing attention to detail Affordable (for sushi)
LOWS:
No alcohol license (only this may be fixed now) I worry this place isn't charging enough
I travel a decent amount and have had sushi all over the US, and this is one of the better spots I've ever been too. They made all my favorites perfectly, with generous portions of fish and excellent attention to detail.
The presentation and "extras" here are really special - the dinnerware, the boat, the smart way they manage their menu - it's all really well done. Whomever runs this place knows sushi, knows what other sushi restaurants do wrong, and they've resolved to make this place perfect.
The pricing is fantastic. A classic roll (like a philly roll or california roll) costs $6 or $7, which is ridiculous. That's cheaper than King Soopers sushi, and there's really no comparison between the two. I would have gladly paid $10-$12 a roll. Nigiri and sushimi are excellently priced as well, as are all the appetizers. I hope this place is making money.
If I had any complaints, it would be the location. I wish it was closer to my house so I could go more often. The atmoshpere is also a little low budget, but mostly because of the building it's in. But it's a minor thing - the food is excellent and the value is amazing.

Read moreWe recently visited the newly opened Sakura Sushi on Inverness Main Street—and what a hidden gem! The moment you walk in, the clean and modern ambiance creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s spacious enough for families, yet intimate enough for a casual date night.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their menu. You can tell the team cares deeply about both the food and the customer experience. The chef even came by to check in, which was such a thoughtful touch!
The sushi was impressively fresh, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. Standout dishes for us included the “Sakura Roll” (delicate and light, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice) and the toro nigiri, which melted in our mouths. Even the wasabi was noticeably fresh and aromatic—clearly high-quality ingredients all around.
Pricing felt very reasonable for the quality, especially considering the care in presentation and service.
Would we recommend it? Absolutely. Sakura Sushi is a perfect addition to the area—ideal for a relaxed family lunch or a cozy dinner out. We’re excited to come back and try...

In my search for new local restaurants after moving to a new state, I stumbled across this sushi spot and wow, I’m glad I did! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming. The tables are close together, so it wouldn’t be my place for a super private conversation but it worked in our favor since we ended up meeting some really great people!
Prices are standard for quality sushi, and the daily specials are a huge bonus. The food? Absolutely worth it. Even something simple like their tempura vegetables was incredible—the batter was light, flavorful, and unforgettable. We ordered two large rolls, 8 pieces of sashimi, and 8 pieces of sushi, and savored every single bite. The scallop and fish were especially top-notch, with fresh flavors that matched exactly what we were hoping for. Service was attentive and friendly, even though we came in within the last 90 minutes of service. Big points for that!
I’d highly recommend this place for a date night or an evening out with friends. It’s a little tight for my (wild) kids, but if your crew eats out with kids often, it’s...
