We had an accident here due to negligence on the part of the hotel in which my infant daughter was almost seriously injured and my back was injured, and the hotel is now choosing to ignore me. During our stay, I sat my infant daughter securely in her feeding chair on the desk in the room. When I sat on the desk chair I immediately fell backwards, hit my head on the couch (on a cushion luckily), my legs swung up and almost toppled the desk. I was stuck in an upside-down position with my head inches from the ground. I couldn’t move without knocking over the desk with my feet. My son had to rush over and help me back up into a normal position. When I inspected the chair, I found that it was missing the bolts that attached the seat to the base. The bolts were nowhere in sight, so this chair was like this for at least a previous stay. When we complained to the front desk, they stated that there is no manager in the evening and there is no maintenance available either, so the chair will have to stay in the room overnight and we were not even offered a change of rooms. When we went to speak to the manager in the morning, we were told that she would have to be contacted, and we’d have to wait for a response. We waited over an hour to hear back from Rhiannon, the manager. When we finally heard from Rhiannon, we were told there would have to be a report filed for the incident, but she agreed that she could at least refund us for the night we stayed. She told to us to wait for her to call back again with further details. I asked for her manager’s number. All she would give me is an email address to their corporate parent company, “Aligned Hotel Management”. I emailed the VP of Operations, Steven Reed, who informed me that an incident report would have to be made and it would be turned over to their insurance company. Nothing would be done now. We waited over two hours to hear back from Rhiannon, and finally the lady at the front desk, who was very nice, told us to not waste the rest of our vacation waiting for her, so we left. When we finally heard back from Rhiannon, she reneged on refunding us for the night we stayed and stated that the incident report will be filled out and I will receive a copy in my email. It has been over a month now, and I have received nothing. There has been no incident report given, no response from Aligned Hotel Management or their insurance company, and every time I try and call Rhiannon, there is no answer, and no attempt to reach me back. I have called Choice Hotels, who informed me that they would reach out and encourage this Comfort Suites to respond and rectify the situation, I still have not heard from anyone regarding this incident. ||This is a poorly managed hotel, it is dirty, there are drug abusers hanging out in the parking lot, the rooms are filthy, there is mold all over the bathroom, a child defecated in the hot tub so it was not in service when we were staying. The side doors weren’t working properly. Management appears to be non-existent at this hotel and apparently maintenance can only fix issues during the daytime, after your stay...

Read moreThe hotel experience was bad in every way. Upon arrival, the front doors would not open. Other customers showed us you had to pry the door open before the automatic mechanism would open it the rest of the way. It took over 35+ minutes to check in after the front desk person started looking at our reservation. She said she had to go check the room to make sure it's "ready". She was by herself at the front desk. She left three different times to go check. Each time taking her around 10 minutes to return. We finally asked if there was a problem. She said it was a booking/reservation issue. We finally received the key (1 card) and went to the room. We got into the elevator and noticed trash, and one of the panels was missing. This exposed all the wires to the control board. Not slightly open, the panel was completely removed. Upon getting into the room, we noticed several issues. We had booked the room with the hot tub. This room didn't have one. This feature is why we decided to book at this hotel, and paid for the upgraded room. Called the front desk four different times with no answer. The room had a disgustingly dirty shower, cabinets were falling off the hinge, vent fan was occluded with dust and grime buildup. The microwave had something that had "blown up" inside. The fire alarm had blue painters' tape covering the vent that is used to detect smoke. The living area sink had the top drain stopper cover removed. The bathroom sink stopper had to be manually pulled up and tilted to let water drain. Most of the evening, the front desk had a line of people trying to check in. We finally were able to talk with the front desk person, letting her know this is not the room we reserved and paid for. She said those rooms are already occupied, and we would have to talk to the manager on Monday due to the booking issue. She wrote the info down. The entire time we were at this property, it seemed overrun with unsupervised juveniles. Not the family types, more like a bunch of kids got together to go party somewhere. We were harassed several times during the stay. It almost gave off the feeling that this hotel was housing some homeless people. We are beyond disappointed in this stay. We have taken a lot of pictures to verify all this experience and plan to post this at several trip planning sites to help others...
