We travel quite a bit. My in-laws not so much. The reason for the two star rating is based on the front desk staff being nice when everything was out of their control....unless they had me on secret camera to see my reactions.
I had reservation for 3 rooms. We show up after a 11 hr drive ready to check in 6pm or so.. I am greeted at the front desk and informed only one room of 3 is ready. Other rooms ready in about 90 mins (House keeping staff called multiple people in sick or something)
I get keys to one room head up to it with the family bags as we are deciding on dinner we check out room for cleanliness... And yep you guessed it. The fridge set to off and the leftover food left in fridge from previous guests....fish and chips was the leftover food. (Imagine the smell)
I took the food box down to the front desk and informed the staff. (Response - Sorry about that)
After dinner I check into 2nd room reserved only to find used washcloths on the shower curtain...(allegedly these are clean rooms)
**FYI room 101 on this hotel until fixed has only boiling hot water in the shower.- you have been warned.
I let my boiling point return to simmer as I went to get keys for next room after another waiting period.
Check into 3rd room (9pm)and it's stuffy in the room so we kick on the A/C.... Oh my did someone start up a motorcycle or is that JUST the A/C... Luckily I didn't stay in that room.
So frustrated....I looked into another 5 hotels in the area only to find out that they are sold out. I was ready to check out of this experience.
Next day we are to have different room reservations so all this was on the night afder to the reservation...thank goodness right!?
Checked out of the rooms from night one into different reservation rooms for the remainder of the the stay (3 nights).... Thankfully these rooms were at least free of belongings that past guests had left. They also had working A/C units as it was warmer than I expected for Colorado.
The house keeping staff when seen in hallways was very friendly so + points there.
Catina at the front desk....she gets it..very hard worker (assisted us with checking our bags into secure closet) and should be commended! So + points there.
I definitely think this was a costly learning experience for me and I hope that others don't have the same unfortunate experiences that we had. It left a mark on the family as we will definitely STAY ELSEWHERE when we travel from here on out (Other hotel Rewards members) my family has already assured me they will hold me to that...
I hope someone takes ownership on the mistakes made and improves the expectations around this hotel....they might see more guests want to stay with them.
Questions feel free to reach out.
Respectfully,
Bryan

(FYI just in case you put the do not disturb sign on the door...be clothed as housekeeping might enter anyways after knock) I forget the bar...
Read moremy bsf and i stayed here this passed weekend for Jhene Aiko concert. we couldn’t check in til 4pm which was already crazy but that’s fine. plenty of hotels does that. So we checked into our double queen bed room at 4pm & immediately start getting ready for the concert at 7pm. we’re already on a 3hr timeframe mind you. i immediately go to use the bathroom bc we’ve been out all day sight seeing passing by time bc our flights landed at 7am & we couldn’t check in til 4pm.. so after i used the restroom, the toilet overflows.. and not just a little puddle of water, the entire bathroom was covered in feces water, the room floor as well as the carpet in the room & the hallway, was all covered in feces water from the toilet. it was THAT bad.. our suitcases were even damaged.. so we go downstairs to get a room swap & the manager “adrian” responded to us with “didn’t we just send someone upstairs to clean it”???? like what does that have to do with anything about y’all accommodating us for y’all hotel faults. i shouldn’t have to explain myself on why we urgently need a new room bc of our concert etc.. now here’s where it get juicy.. Another employee, i can’t remember her name but it was something with a R or maybe a K.. but whatever, she was very understanding and said that she’ll accommodate us for the situation, she also stated they since they were overwhelmed with guest they were sold out of double bed rooms, mind you we originally had a double queen bed room. so she say’s she’ll put us in a king suite with a let out couch since we did originally have a double bed room and we had this situation… we were totally okay with that. she even said if we needed covers or sheets for the let out couch, to call down & she’ll bring it up. The manager adrian then came over as she was accommodating us, and asked her “is that the room you’re giving them??” she replied yes, and he said no, give them this one… no one told us anything. we just overheard the side conversations they were having but since we were in a rush we didn’t press the issues. now here’s where it gets even more messy. the room he assigned us to had a faulty fridge that didn’t close causing food spoilage, as well as hot water.. he purposely put us in that faulty room bc we requested for a room change because of the hotel faulty toilet. this was the worse experience i’ve ever had with any hotel, especially since this was our first time in denver, i’ll never come back. aside from this hotel experience & my rental car getting stolen. worse...
Read moreOur stay at the EVEN hotel was FANTASTIC!! I LOVED my room — suite, large bathroom, quartz countertops, desk space, electric shades, two TVs, workout options — it was great. Super clean. Your staff was incredible. Every single one of them were kind, personable, super helpful, friendly, eager, knowledgeable, and effective. We loved the layout of the lobby/common areas — gave us very useful and comfortable space. One night we gathered at the back couch/chair area for pizza with extended family. One night we sat out by the fire ring (even though we wished they had propane so we could’ve lit them.) One day we sat in the bar/eating area to watch an entire football game. The front chairs were comfortable while waiting for pickups/departures. I was so grateful that there was a computer and printer in the lobby — I needed to print an email one night and the facility made it easy! I liked that there was a door hanger for “be green” letting the cleaning staff kno that I didn’t need my room cleaned!! Most hotels only have a “do not disturb” which is confusing for the housekeeping staff. The “be green” door hanger made it easy for me AND the housekeeping crew to communicate effectively. Loved the infused water available in the lobby!! Loved the waterfill stations on every floor near the elevators — very very useful Your bar staff was wonderful — so friendly — very personable. Your menu looks delicious!! I never got a chance to eat there, but definitely will next time! Love the health aspect with every detail. The entire layout of the hotel is well thought out and useful. Great location — it was quick and easy to get to our daily destinations. Plenty of parking. Good choice of restaurants nearby. Our family has already agreed to stay there next time we return to Denver!! During our entire stay, our daily conversations always included how much we love the hotel! My brother lives there in Denver and said he would definitely recommend the EVEN to anyone else visiting him. I have friends there in Greenwood Village who stopped by and loved the hotel as well — said they’d recommend it to their visitors. I travel A LOT a have never written to a hotel manager about how much I love their hotel — this is a first!! It’s a fabulously run hotel — we all loved it. We now have a “go-to” hotel in Denver — makes planning future trips stress free!! Thanks for everything — great job!! See...
