Never have I been more disappointed in an restaurant, my roommate and I ordered build your own bowls. I ask the girl at the front what’s another sweet sauce you have besides teriyaki, she said the peanut sauce my roommate kindly asked not to put the sauce near her food due to peanut allergy. The girl proceeds to ask do you want us to change our knives and cutting boards while making our food. She said no it’s just the sauce I’m worried about 30 minutes of waiting and 4 people getting there food before us who showed up after us later....we get our food we go home we set up to eat and what doe we find, her salmon is over cooked my steak is burnt and our veggies weren’t done and part of the rice was hard.....I’ve never had this experience at this place before and it was quit awful I don’t think I’ll be returning to this one.$23 worth of burnt food partially cooked and to top it off we didn’t get any sauces for our food none, mins you by the time we noticed all this the place was already closed so we couldn’t go back and exchange anything. Then when we asked the front how much longer there excuse was the peanut allergy, we told her it was the sauce that was the only worry everything else was fine. She said sorry it’s protocol when someone tells them this they have to follow certain rules, THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE SAUCE!! None of the other food we told her that and she’s said oh well it’s almost done I want to say heather was her name but I could be mistaken all I know is she was a terrible server and her atrium top...
Read moreI had placed an order the night before and had Uber eats deliver, it was excellent. I always tip 20% because I’ve done that type of work in a previous life. So I decided on my way out of town I’d stop by and get a to go order. We don’t have Tokyo joes where I’m from. I placed my order and chose not to give a tip on my card, I had cash in hand for that but wanted to see what service I’d receive. I sat and waited for over 30 minutes, watching the kitchen staff come out and pull tickets off the front register instead of using the automated system, I could only think he was seeing what people gave as tips. Because it was weird. He also took personal calls on his cell. No biggy, we all have lives. The kicker was that every order before me was finalized and multiple orders after mine also. Including another to go order that was finished before mine. When I got my order it was missing my sauce. When I got to my car the bowl I requested was completely wrong. Missing the majority of my vegetables but instead had the same veggies for my friend, 3 instead of the 5 I chose plus jalapeños and avocado. While the staff was friendly on the front line, guy with blue hair was rocking and rolling, I was pretty annoyed to not receive what I paid for including the avocado that has an up charge. Glad I chose to give a tip as cash because the kitchen staff blew it for everyone. Not to self to choose a different location in the future...
Read moreWell prepared and well designed, an excellent variety of delicious and artfully planned flavor combinations that conduct a symphony of Japanese style tastes. Wonderfully friendly staff, all but one. A young man named Brandon. If you plan to sneak tea (or anything else) into a water cup, be prepared to be publicly humiliated. I was properly put in my place and was rightfully the center of attention for the majority of the restaurant while he pointed out I had used a water cup for tea, and how if I ever wanted to dine at Tokyo joes again I would be wise to not attempt filling my water cup with anything but water. I was overwhelmed with humiliation and will not be dining at the establishment until properly apologized to. I immediately discarded my tea, asked for a full refund on my to-go lunch order and handed over my addict club card. Spending over $300 yearly, I'm sorry to say the boycott is in full effect. The reason why I still gave the establishment 5 stars is because the food is delicious. The manager is very kind and the staff is normally considerably friendly. If the employee had approached me privately and less confrontational, I would continue to eat here once a week as...
