Chile Konnection Produce — Local services in Albuquerque

Went today for a half bushel of Sandia from Lemitar. First, the way I was greeted inside to order was inviting and friendly! The woman at the register answered my questions without making me feel like I was a bother. Then out in the roasting area, the 2 other ladies were very helpful and friendly to every customer there, including me. Roasting went great without over burn. The workers all work together very well and are respectful to everyone. The Lemitar Sandia is hot for sure, but so delicious with flavor! They now take card payment in addition to cash. Yippee!! I will be back for fresh red roasted! UPDATE- I got some Big Jim red roasted today. Big beautiful and clean pods. The roaster payed very careful attention to the roast, as red can easily burn. The chile was roasted just right. I will return in December when they get their new crop dried...

My son and I drove from Oklahoma on my birthday weekend to get some extra hot GC to add to our hot we got from a different place in ABQ about a month earlier.

Got home and wanted to try it out, and we are both bewildered by the lack of any heat in what we brought home. Yes, it has a wonderful green chile flavor but there is absolutely no heat in it.

Maybe we died in the torrential rains coming home and we are in bland hell. I really don't know what else to say about this product we brought home other than I am completely unsatisfied with the batch of Chile we got

I have bought Chile here before and was satisfied with it then. I guess I am just venting about...

I was very disappointed in the chili I got from here last year. The Chili may have been fine but the people roasting didn’t roast, they baked it. Flames were too low that it baked. I had the hardest time pealing it, it would disintegrate in my hand. I practically lost the four sacks of chili that I bought it all went to waste, I will not continue going to this place because I drive from Arizona down to New Mexico every year for Chili I will look for another place again very disappointed on the young men that were...
