Dogs on the Chain & Gaming Lounge — Restaurant in Fox Lake

I am adding this as a long time customer seeing some pretty bogus reviews. I have a large family with picky tastes, and Steve never let's us down. Everything is cooked perfectly to order. My daughter, who has sensory issues, loves hotdogs but has never liked poppy seed buns. Steve and his crew have always gone above and beyond by shaving the poppy seeds from the bun for her. That is great care and attention to detail. We didn't even ask. They just heard me tell her that we'd pick them off. This place is special and cares for its customers. To anyone bagging on the fries, have you tried oil blanching and re-frying fresh potatoes and getting the same result each time? I bet not. If you take fries to go in a bag, expect buggy fries regardless. Maybe ask them to drop the fries one more time for you? Now, I do have a complaint. The new hours do not accommodate us. I cannot get there in time with my job, so we can't go anymore. I am not going to ding a stellar local business for that. I am just putting it in your ear. I hope you can do at least one later day a week. 🙏🏻...

The food: Great! I just moved into town and I'm pretty picky about my burger and hotdog joints. I was met with enthusiasm as soon as I entered the door by a man ready to take the order and start cooking. The food got to me pretty quickly and looked great. Burger was thick and juicy with perfect char and the veggies on the dogs were crisp and fresh. I was surprised at how good the fries were, it felt like a sin putting ketchup on one and I proceeded to eat the rest without anything on them.

The Atmosphere: The outside is a very basic "Chicago style food" feel. As you walk in, there is a huge tank with several beautiful fish that swam around gracefully, they looked healthy and happy. A large human sized figure stood in the corner watching me with empty eyes, this hotdog suit was equally inviting and slightly unsettling (as any smooth cylindrical meat man would be as you consumed what you could only assume is his young offspring).

We were just dashing and ubering along. We picked up an order. Told my wife that it smelled really good. So we went back to check the place out. The restaurant is ran by the husband and wife very cute couple. Love the vibes that they bring to the restaurant. We ordered two soda cans and mozzarella sticks, fries with the side of BBQ. My wife ordered Chicago style hot dog. All the food was on top notch. It was served hot and well cooked fries it has skin on them. I love homemade fries. Will we go there again yes we will. Oh there is a dollar beer too and a gambling room. Kid friendly too. They got pictures to color on and they post it on the wall too so you know they are very appreciative when it comes to guest regardless if they are adults and children. All people are welcome.
