Grand Submarine Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Fox Lake

I found this place about 4-years ago after reading about its location. I had lived here 6-years and didn't realize it was there. I couldn't figure out where it was at first then discovered the franchise inside the Mobil gas station along with a Krispy Chicken franchise. I lived in Chicago as a kid and went to the original location there and this brought back those childhood memories. I like the tuna and turkey the best. I went to the fox lake location. They did not have Italian beef. That's why I went. I got a pastrami sandwich instead and it was a joke. Micro portion of meat. And although there was a cash register on the sandwich counter,I was told to pay at the gas station counter. It was tied up with a couple that took forever to check out because they kept leaving the counter to get more snacks as I stood there with my mini sandwich. It really was an amateur production. Not a critic here of anything but sometimes I gotta say something. For those of you people that gave this food more than 2 stars shouldn't be even allowed to rate any of the food out there, obviously they never had any better. I gave two stars since 3 subs were prepared and delivered in respectful amount of time, but words that I have seen and I quote "the best sub i ever had" is a little overkill here..Please do not believe that nonsense.
