We had a great experience here! Drinks: I had the pineapple margarita, which looked beautiful. But I did not taste much (if any) alcohol in it (and I’m a lightweight, so drinks are usually too strong for me. So if I couldn’t even taste the alcohol, it’s bad lol). It also had these huge pineapple chunks in it that kept getting stuck in the straw, and making it less enjoyable and harder to drink. My boyfriend tasted it and he thought it was lacking tequila as well. My boyfriend got an old fashioned, which seemed like a smaller portion size than we get from other places. The glass was half full and there was also a HUGE ice cube in the glass, which took up a lot of space too. In spite of this, he said the flavor of the old fashioned was actually good. Food: I loved the chips and salsa they brought out as soon as we sat down. I got the Quesabirria tacos and they were delicious! The meat was super tender and flavorful and the tacos were cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the salmon poblano and he said it was also delicious. The Mexican street corn (esquites) was also good, but I feel it should come with more of the toppings. When I get it from other restaurants, they put way more of the toppings on the corn. Atmosphere: it’s a really cool atmosphere. The restaurant is decorated very nicely. The music was almost too loud for us to enjoy. Our waiter was very friendly. We would definitely come back here for the food. I might give the margaritas another chance, to see if they actually put enough alcohol in it. Maybe it was just an off night.

We went to celebrate my brothers graduation here and the waiter we had was so rude. First time here. They didn’t have a kids menu so for my 3 year old I ordered 2 tamales thinking they were going to be regular tamales. So when we all got our food. Tamales had pico de gallo salsa, sour cream. I brought it up telling him my 3yr old was not going to eat that bc it was buried in pico de gallo, salsa and sour cream. Kids are so picky and the fact that the waiter knew it was for my 3 year old and he didn’t offer me to change them for without all that stuff was crazy to me. He said you told me with everything. First of all he never asked me if I wanted them with everything. Secondly, knowing and seeing that how buried in stuff they were when he took the order he should have asked if I was sure bc they came with all that stuff. The fact he said it with an attitude “you said with everything” which I did not. He walked away. I said I wanted my quesabirrias with everything. We spent close to $700. Out of courtesy at least for my 3 yr old he should have asked if there was something else he could bring out for him, instead he walked away. We took the tamales. It was 2 of them. And I have to say no wonder they pack them with all these salsas. There isn’t any meat in them. They were suppose to be chicken. First and last time I will come to fat Rosie’s. They don’t even deserve a star. You get way more for your money at other establishment and the food here not the best for what they are charging. I also had the so call quesabirrias and it ain’t it they were cold and barely any cheese in them. Also do not go in groups bigger than 5 it’s so smooched..

Our waitress was not very friendly, but most other employees were. Our waitress mades mistakes on the order and different ones on the bills. We got it all figured out, but would hesitate if we had her. Also, we were in the back room and it was HOT. They had fans and tried to make the best of it, but the temperature made it uncomfortable. I loved my 3 tacos, Al Pastor, Ground Beef Rosie-style, and Cauliflower. They were so delicious. The queso fundido we shared had a good flavor, but it was not easy to share. It wasn't like any queso fundido I've ever had. It was not liquid, but stringy and stretchy, like melted cheese. As it got colder, it was just a hunk of cheese. The esquites were advertí as if they were actually corn off the cob fresh. The sticky texture and the fact that they were chewy and stuck to my teeth tells otherwise. If the menu item uses canned corn, that's ok, just don't say different in the menu. I was expecting fresher. The atmosphere is SPOT ON!! It does not disappoint!! There is so much to look at, and it's so colorful there. The saddles on the roof joists are a great touch, and maybe most people don't notice that. We went there to celebrate a birthday and the employees were great!! The sparkler cake and the song made sure the whole restaurant knew!!

Been here plenty of times and it’s pretty consistent. This place is so cool especially if you like colors, tacos, chips and salsa, margs, etc. chips and salsa are a great appetizer to start off with, the Elote and guacamole are good too! The service is quick and efficient. There’s a lot going on, a bunch of people walking around in a rush and a lot of loud noises. I first came here on a Saturday night and it was insane!! Going in the afternoon has been better for me. The cochinita pibil, served with a banana leaf and frijoles negros, is delicious accompanied by habanero salsa which is spicy and delicious as well. The salmon plate was great. The zucchini and sauce paired well together. The mojito was nice and refreshing. Nothing took long to get to the table. It was just annoying they shoved us in a little 2x2 table against the wall, but I wanted to try it. Hence that’s why it’s better in the after noon. Their birthday cake is absolutely delicious! Kinda pricey for everything but worth a try. One if the best “Mexican” restaurants in the south suburbs. Def better than uncle Julio’s and casa margaritas.

It was a delightful experience. I visited the establishment today with my father to celebrate Father's Day. We engaged in a leisurely bicycle ride on the scenic trails before coming here for a meal. The service we received was exceptional. Our waitress, Ale, was particularly attentive and accommodating😇. When she inquired about my drink preference, I politely declined a margarita and inquired about the availability of coffee. She kindly recommended a delectable beverage that incorporated espresso, which proved to be an excellent choice. 🙂 I highly recommend this drink to coffee enthusiasts or those seeking an invigorating pick-me-up. It struck the ideal balance of flavors and provided the perfect complement to our meal. We savored delectable chips and guacamole, and I opted for the cauliflower taco while my father indulged in the shrimp taco. Both dishes were exceptionally satisfying.

When in town visiting, a couple of our relatives recommended this place to us. The food was really good. I enjoyed the Steak Fajitas. I could really taste the flavor on the end pieces. The salsa for the chips looked like it was spicy, but had more of a tomato flavor. I used this on the Fajitas also. I would go back when in town again. The restaurant is in the pretty Frankfort Historic area.
