Ichiban Japanese Fusion Cuisine — Restaurant in Franklin Township

Not a bad place to go get Japanese food at. We went there (9 of us) and we ordered different variety of dishes. Some of us got the Salmon teriyaki, some the Thai curry, and some sushi. I got the Spicy Maki Combo and the Seaweed Salad. Spicy Maki Combo is 3 different rolls (tuna, salmon, yellowtail) and it was good but it wasn’t spicy for me like at all. It tasted like I just ate regular Maki Combo. But the Seaweed Salad was pretty good. I got Miso soup as a side which was not bad, but the side salad had a weird dressing on it (some of us liked it, but some not as much). Other had mixed reviews of it was very delicious and a few who said it was just good. The place in general is clean, and the staff were very friendly, nice, and helpful. Overall, I think this is not a bad Japanese place to go to with friends/family. I definitely had better sushi at other places but that doesn’t mean this place was bad, I still think...

Ordered take out for lunch online. Made note on order for a side of sriracha. Did not see anywhere online that it said it was an extra charge. Go to pick up order and was told sriracha was 1.00 extra. I did not bring my wallet being I swung by to pick up the order. I asked if they could waive the fee just this time and I would get them next time. Server says no. I ask if I can pay using apple pay on my phone being that was how I paid for the order to begin with. She says no because it is a 10.00 minimum. I say I already paid over 10.00. Essentially you can not get a sauce unless you pay cash upon arrival or spend another 10.00. As a loyal customer, you would think they would give you a little cup of sauce. I even tipped 20% on my pick up order. Poor customer service. This is the last time I will come here being they do not care about their customers or provide kind service. Pretty lame to lose customers...

Used to be great. Quality of the fish has gone tremendously. I had order Pepper Tuna Tataki because it was great, but when ai ordered on 10/25/2017, I noticed that colour wise it was great looking but the taste wise it felt funky and extremely old. Jenny Ln who is the owner claimed tthat the fish colour would be black and that they do not add food colouring. I claimed that I am not looking for a refund but i cannot eat this. He claimed that you should pour the yuzu sauce and argured that she knows the taste, making it seem like I did not know what I was talking about. One thing for sure if it looks great but smells and taste funky i would not eat it. I rather more money and go to Jo Sho which is an auenthic Japanese place. I will not go to Ichiban in Somerset.
