Pierce Street Bagels is puppy approved! I went in to get a take out order on a Sunday morning around 10 am. There are places to sit and dine in. The bagels are displayed behind glass in wire bins on racks so you can see which ones are available. Sometime that stood out to me was the varying level on done-ness and the employees were willing to accommodate if you wanted a lighter or darker finished bagel. I ordered a jalapeño and cheddar bagel, scooped out, with scallion cream cheese and tomato. The scallion cc was great— I really liked how prominent and fresh it tastes. The scallions are whole and crunchy which is a nice departure from most other in house cream cheeses that are softer. The bagel itself was okay, it could have been softer on the inside and crisper on the outside, perhaps it’s been sitting out a bit? Either way, I liked how consciously they put spread on both sides of the bagel. I’d like to try out their breakfasts so i’ll be back and update.

I really recommend this place. The staff were so friendly, kind, nice, quick, and ready to help. The place is super clean and neat. Food was amazing. We had the bagels and bagel sandwiches, and all of them tasted delicious. The bagels were moist, crispy, and overall very cheap! They also have other sandwiches, fruit salad, cookies, and other pastries. For drinks, they have sweet teas, bottled beverages (sprite, sparkling water, orange juice, and naked juices), and for coffees they have regular, cappuccino, and make your own (the syrups, and milks are provided on the side). A friendly environment where you can eat with friends and family both breakfast, brunch, and lunch. I would definitely come back and eat here again, dine-in or get something and take-out since they offer that as well. Overall, as I said, I really do recommend this bagel place for others to try out.

2nd time ordering from here. 1st experience was jalapeño cheddar bagel with BEC. Ordered online thru door dash so it didn’t allow me to add in the special instructions of salt pep ketchup and mayo. It’s fine it was good. However, maybe it’s a good thing because today I chose the sausage egg and cheese on a roll. I requested the condiments when I came to pick it up. When I went to put the condiments on, I found this small green piece of rubber embedded in the sausage patty. I looked at the rest of the patty and there was nothing else there. So again, it was good that I had to open up the sandwich and place my condiments or else I would have ate the piece of rubber. I still ate the sandwich which was good and I will be back. However, I would investigate my food more carefully before eating it.

I started coming to this bagel shop several months ago. When the owner is there, the customers are greeted with a smile and "Good Morning". He takes your order and is polite and friendly and the service is quick and food is good. However, if you are unfortunate enough to go in when the owner is not there, the women with dark hair in a pony tail is the complete opposite! She doesn't greet you, no smile just her grumpy face, walks away in the middle of taking your order and NEVER thanks you for coming in. Today, when I walked in and saw she was at the counter I almost walked out. But I ventured forward. After ringing up the customer in front of me, she then looked at me with that scowl on her face and said, "Yeah". As I started to order she turned her head and yelled something in Spanish to the other girl that was buttering toast and then turned back and looked at me like I interrupted her. I continued to order a sandwich and a bagel and then she abruptly turned and just walked away. I sat at one of the tables and was able to watch the cook fix the sandwich but didn't see him put any ketchup on it. I went up to the counter when I realized the sandwich was done. The girl put the food in a bag and pushed it at me. I took the sandwich out of the bag and opened it. Seeing there was no ketchup I looked at her and said, "Could you ask him to put ketchup and mayo on this?" She promptly snapped at, "YOU DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT !!!" I replied, "I know, because you walked away before I finished ordering." She then grabbed the sandwich and again yelled something in Spanish to the cook. There was another women in the store behind me who said to me, "She's not saying very nice things about you." Then the cook brought the sandwich back, pointed at the bag the girl had put my food in and said to her, "the bag is torn". She looked at him said something again in Spanish and walked away. The cook then got another bag, apologized, and re-bagged my order. He thanked me for coming and said, "Have a nice day." I thanked him and then pointed to the girl, who was now standing off to the left with an ugly scowl on her face, and told him that she needs an attitude adjustment. As much as I like the food, the prices and the location, I don't need that crappy attitude at 7:30am!! The next time I go there - if that girl is at the counter I will just walk out. Get rid of her if she can't be polite to your customers - she's killing your reputation and...

This is a prime example of why bad reviews happen. My first visit was a great experience—I loved the food and even came back later to grab a drink.

Today was a completely different story. I ordered online, and when I arrived, the place was disorganized. I was called up, but it wasn’t my order. I stepped aside to let the other person go first.

When my order was ready, I was given a price that was higher than what I had seen online. I was told that the online prices are outdated. I stepped aside because it was busy, but then I went back to ask for my receipt, which I wasn’t given. I wanted the receipt so I could know what to expect next time.

I was told we were past that as I'm watching him tearing it off the printer—despite it showing the prices I was charged. Instead, they offered me a printout with just the total, which doesn’t help me at all. I have no idea what I just paid for!

If the prices online are incorrect, either update them or honor them. Point blank. With this kind of experience and the bad energy in the place, I won’t be coming back—especially on a Saturday. This visit was night and day compared to my first time. (Update) Its even worse when your told your being charged extra for beef sausage and bacon and get home and its not beef bacon in your box! I had high expectations and wanted enjoy breakfast before unpacking and this really threw...

Best place ever! I was in Somerset, NJ with my husband and kids due to my husband’s job. My kids wanted something delicious for breakfast so after a little research I found this place and I wanted to give it a try. I must say we loved everything, from their employees to the food. As soon as you walk in they greet you with a smile and a good morning, the place is very clean and they are super welcoming. I didn’t know what to order so I took my time, I never felt rushed in fact they told me to take my time. I ordered eggs, ham and hash browns for my kids and ham, onions and bell pepper omelettes for me and my husband, they come with fried (they are amazing), toast or bagel with butter or cream cheese. While we were about to leave a guy offered us hot sauce (Cholula & Valentina) and that to me was super thoughtful, I’m Mexican so that meant a lot to me!... everything was delicious, my kids loved it so did my husband. If I get to go back with my husband I will definitely go back there and try something different! Thank you so much for the great...
