I’m giving them four stars, not five, because of their lack of consistency with their bagel quality. With that said, on its worst day, it’s still one of the top bagels in the area. On its best day, in my vast and ridiculous experience of eating bagels in New Jersey, it is at the least in the top three. There are only two other bagels that I’ve had in New Jersey that compare to the quality of a Kettleman’s bagel when it’s on one of the good days there. O’bagel in Basking Ridge, and Sheepshead Baygels in Hazlet New Jersey. Don’t let anyone else tell you differently. And if you’re like me and you’re willing to travel further to get a better bagel, and you’re in the vicinity of one of these places, they are the only places to go. The one thing I’d ask for kettlemen‘s to think about, is why are the bagels so inconsistent from day-to-day? On its worst day you wouldn’t know it was the same bagel place as the best day.

First time I went was not pleasant experience as it was a morning with chaotic management of order, and I ended up waiting for an order which showed” ready for pickup” but was not. Food was amazing though. The grilled chicken over salad has such generous portion of not only the veggie but grilled chicken! This morning I did not wait at all. A friendly lady greeted with warm smile and handed the order for me. I have garden state bagel and avocado chicken wrap. Both are amazing! What a nice reward for my early morning exercise☺️

It was a Sunday morning. I walked in, and it was very busy. There's plenty of spaces to eat solo and with friends. Their very visible menu made it easy to order. I got the morning stimulus bagel with eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese. The bagel was delicious: soft, chewy, and fresh. The bacon added the right amount of saltiness, and the eggs were scrambled well. If you're a home chef and looking for a quick breakfast,so you don't have to be in the kitchen for the whole day, then give this place a try.

Decided to try this place & will never go back. They have no signs saying where to order so unless you know where to go the employees LITERALLY don't pay you any attention. When I got there no one was in line then 2 people came in behind me & the employee took both of them before me. After placing my order & standing behind the 2 people who were taken ahead of me to pay for my stuff. The employee turned around & continued with whatever busy work she was doing & avoided eye contact with me. I asked another employee about the muffins that where on top of the case. That employee tells another employee who tells another employee that 2 muffins where ordered. Didn't know it took 3 employees who were standing right there to get 2 muffins & literally toss them into the bag. I pay for 2 muffins & a basic breakfast sandwich on a bagel that comes out to about $14. I pay with a card & get a receipt back but they don't have me sign the other one 🤔 I'll be keeping an eye on my account.

I try some of a cranberry nut muffin on my way home & something didn't taste right with it. I had my friend try it & not only did it not have any sugar in it, WAY to many nuts & it was MOLDY 🤢🤢🤢 I'm not even going to try the blueberry one.

I go to eat the breakfast sandwich & I couldn't even eat it, I fed a small piece of the meat & egg to my dog, who spit it back up moments later. The bagel wasn't bad but I think if it didn't have the grease from the meat on it it may have tasted slightly better. Though I won't be going back to find out.

Don't waste your time or money here & go...

UPDATE #3: I went back. I used the app to order and avoid the crowd. I went in the very early afternoon to avoid the customer traffic. I made the order simple- 12 bagels. 4 garlic, 4 everything, 4 cinn-rasin. I was in, I was out, I was home. They got the order wrong. Plain bagels, not cinn-rasin. I called and asked if they were out. They were not. I came back and they gave me four cinn-rasin. Bottom line- you will get the best bagels in New Jersey, but you will wait or otherwise spend time. It is written into the fabric of their business plan. Paying with money is not enough. There is always an additional 20min to 30 min cost of your time. UPDATE #2: AGAIN, STILL THE BEST BAGELS IN JERSEY. That said, they fixed the website! And then they gave me order to someone else so I still had to wait anyway. That's the theme here. You MUST wait. And then they still got the order wrong. So, the review below stands. UPDATE: STILL BEST BAGELS IN JERSEY. So poorly organized that You will wish there was any other place with bagels close to this because you would go there instead. And don't think you'll escape the disorganization by ordering online. Their website checkout is aggressively anti-checkout. Credit card input regularly fails to the point where ultimately you will rage quit and subject yourself to their bafflingly unorganized counter service. They should really just turn off the website or make it work. Having it up and not work is a reflection of their previously inefficient...
