We immediately thought this restaurant was beautiful upon entry. We got a good chance to look around as we were waiting for a few minutes with no one to greet or seat us. When we were seated, we were approached by a server who spoke only Spanish (her name was listed as Catarina on the bill). I told her I spoke a little Spanish, but continued to Speak to her in ENGLISH, as my husband and I are American and this is the language of this country. She continued to speak ONLY Spanish and had a difficult time understanding what my or my husband's order was (we had to repeat it 3x to her and point to it on the menu). We found this frustrating, and honestly had no idea if we would be receiving what we ordered, but somehow we did. I heard her encounter with the gentleman seated behind me, and he too, had to repeat everything as she didn't understand him either. Every time she would come to check on us, she would only address ME in Spanish (not my husband, even when asking if HE wanted another Margarita). I found this rude, inappropriate, and unprofessional. Yes, it's a Mexican Restaurant with Mexican Food, but you should be catering to the customers and be able to communicate effectively with ALL customers. As for the food and drinks, the Margaritas were weak with little Tequila (if any), and the food was just OK. We ate here based on convenience being in the area, but we probably would venture somewhere...
Read moreMy son and I tried out Cinco de Mayo tonight (yes they are open)! It was absolutely awesome. Hands down the best cheese dip in Franklin. It's very thick and full of flavor. The homemade guacamole was the best I've had in Franklin. I only had a ground beef taco for my meal, but it was stuffed with at least three times the meat as most restaurants. My son had the steak chimichanga, and he loved it. I'm not a fan of margaritas any longer, but I had a Tito's and water and it was a very good drink for the price. We both ordered dessert to go, but there was no way we could eat it tonight. They had college football on every TV (no offense soccer fans), and the outdoor seating area is huge. Lastly, Maria D was our server, and the service was perfect. Hopefully we've finally found a great Mexican restaurant that will stay in this spot for a long time. I HIGHLY...
Read moreWill not be back!!!! Went with several others. Server was very nice but didn't attend to us very well. 4 or 5 of the group got chicken grilled and none liked it or could even eat more than a bite or two. They eat the rice and left the chicken. We brought it to server's attention and he said okay okay. Some lady (assuming manager but she was too rude to introduce herself) came up to the register and informed me that we would not be given credit for the poor chicken. (Despite being told by another staff member it would be taken care of). The chicken smelled bad. My daughters refused it. She finally agreed to credit half. Not about the money but rather how rude and uncaring and unprofessional she was. We will never be back. BTW....my wife is still sick today from the meal. AVOID this place until they get their...
