Just came back from a delicious meal at Ice Point Cafe. We ordered the bulgogi bento box, the buffalo chicken quesadilla, and the volcano sushi burrito. We were SO EXCITED to see a place with sushi burritos in Franklin. We haven't seen any since we lived in Toronto a few years ago. All the food was absolutely excellent. It was perfectly made, and delicious. The salad was crisp and not wilted in the slightest - an absolute joy as so many places have wilted salad. The sushi burrito lived up to expectations, and was absolutely on par with the ones we used to have at Kaoi Sushi in Mississauga. Thrilled to pieces to have them here.
A point must be made about the wait. Be aware the wait is significant. The two guys running the place work like demons, with no break, and it still took an hour and ten minute for our order to be ready. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us, but it is definitely something to be aware of. I must emphasize that the food is SO worth the wait. I suggest ordering a good hour before you'd like to eat, and that way it will be ready. We were given delicious dumplings as an appetizer apology, and one of the chaps came out to apologize in person. That was very much appreciated.
They have a "now hiring" sign, so if you know how to make sushi burritos please get a job with them to expedite the orders. =D.
We will definitely be making return trips. These guys really care about the quality of food they're making,...

Well, at least while doing keto anyways. Franklin has not been all that great for Poke or it has been pretty much non-existent so I found this just doing the YTG (Yelp-Tripadvisor-Google) trifecta search and didn't see anything that was bad and it's new so I figured why not?
The store is clean and organized with character and actually less sterile feeling than a lot of other poke places I've ran into across the US. I give credit for that, someone put detail into how the layout was. It fits the area as well. With that being said, most people like to think the prim of Cool Springs area is the only place to eat. Don't neglect the folks off 96 - they got good stuff out there including Ice Point. With the amount of traffic in Cool Springs during lunch, you'll probably get out in less time from this part of town.
Off the rant - how was the food? Everything was great quality, the ordering process was smooth and I like their POS system which helps for a speedy transaction. They had my keto option which was just mixed greens as a base then the fish on top. Great options for all of the base/protein/sauces and the options with crab meat and avocado.
I enjoyed it! Yea, 5 is strong but considering being the first in the area, the store layout, the overall price and impression. ...
Read moreSaw their ad on Instagram a few months back and thought I'd give it a try. Now I'm hooked and have to hit this place weekly. Their food is incredibly fresh and tasty! I can't think of another restaurant where you can get food that tastes like it was just harvested. I have had 5-6 poke bowls, all where you pick your own ingredients and every single one of them has left me planning my next trip before I'm even finished eating. The combination of foods you can get here creates a perfect healthy meal that feels like a "cheat meal", yet keeps you on track for clean eating. The service is stellar too - they treat you like every single visit is important to them, and they have a loyalty program that ties to your mobile phone for rewards. The only con I can come up with is that it's not cheap. At first glance the prices seem high, but after you try it your realize you pay for quality and freshness - and you definitely get your money's worth. For those not wanting raw fish, there are cooked options like chicken, shrimp and a...
