I went to this shop with the intent of buying a new bow. Paid over $1300.00 for it and it had to be ordered. After 6 weeks of waiting I called to inquire about an ETA on the bow. The response I got was that the order had been mistakenly “deleted”. Not sure how that happens but ok, mistakes happen, no big deal. I asked for a refund as I did not want to tie up my funds any longer waiting an indeterminate period of time for the bow. It’s been 4 business days and no refund. I understand that different systems can take up to 10 business days and I will wait and keep you updated on the outcome.
As an addendum to the above, I would like to add that within 30 minutes of posting the above review, I was contacted by an unnamed female from Music City Archery on my personal cell phone who proceeded to question my review. First, my initial review was fair(3 stars) in my opinion and spot on accurate in factual content. I find it reprehensible and inappropriate to use my personal contact information to question my opinion of a business transaction that has, by their own admission, gone terribly wrong. Furthermore, I find it unacceptable to blame the manufacturer for a problem that could have been avoided had Music City Archery checked on my order just once! That’s akin to having a bad meal in a restaurant and blaming the food broker for the problem. I have been a bow hunter for 45 years and not once have a had an experience like this. I understand that mistakes happen as I alluded to previously, but to call me on my personal cell to dispute a fair and honest review goes beyond what is reasonable. I will never do business with this company again and I will also encourage my friends and business associates to do likewise. As a result of that phone call AFTER my initial review, I am revising my...
Read moreI have always hunted with a crossbow due to a shoulder injury. This year I decided to take on the challenge of hunting with a compound bow. I bought a used Martin compound from a friend and had Dickson Sporting Goods set it up for me. I just became very comfortable at 30 yards when my string broke. Music City Archery was listed online as the local dealer for Martin bows. Jeff, the owner, told me that the bow would be ready in less than a week and I would get a call when it was done. Two weeks later I had to call him and he sounded surprised when I told him that I was ready to get the bow. I went through a mess with him using the wrong parts, ordering the wrong string(size and color) and simply not understanding my bow. The owners young son was able to put the bow back together and in my eyes was a better bow tech than the owner. Now the bow is too short of a draw, they changed my let off and I can't comfortably shoot it anymore. I recommend going to the Archery Den or Dickson Sporting Goods if you are looking for a...
Read moreMusic City Archery is such a wonderful resource in the region. I first became aware of them when they took over the running of archery competition during the Tennessee State Senior Olympics, and their superior administration of that tournament the last few years has been in my opinion the biggest improvement in the State games overall. I've also recently joined USA Archery to have more opportunities to compete in barebow recurve, and Music City's hosting of that organization's tournament this past winter was similarly well run. And just this past weekend they hosted the TN Stare Outdoor Championship and TN State Senior Olympics with the same fine organization and good spirit.
All staff I have met have been helpful and kind, and all seem to have such a spirit of goodwill when interacting with customers of all ages and interests. Just generally, you sense a good vibe throughout their facility.
Come on down to Chattanooga, Music City; time for Music City Archery II, or maybe Scenic...
