Crabtree General Store & Coffee Vault — Restaurant in Franklin

The coffee was really good. The service however was rude. I am a visitor camping in the area and never been in this store. Online they said they opened at 8am, on the door it said it didn't open until 10. Someone on the porch told us they were open so we went in. I picked some vinyl stickers and was going to order coffee and look some more then check out (again, I've never been inside and didn't know how they do things). I ordered coffee and the lady asked what flavor I asked what flavors do you have (I was ordering off of a chalkboard on the wall), so she points to a laminated paper taped on the counter without saying anything. I say I'm sorry I didn't see that and finish ordering. The woman stood and waited, I was going to look at their items some more, but she wanted me to check out the stickers (I guess she thought I was going to steal them?). Went by at 3:30 pm on Thursday. Drive thru was full and people were standing in line. Only one employee working. She was running as fast as she could go. I just started working nearby and would love to give this local business a try but they need more help. People were leaving the drive thru and 2 other people walked out from inside because the poor girl working just couldn’t keep up. I know it’s difficult to find help right now but I’m sure there a high school student who would love to work at this place after school. Just in the 20 minutes I waited 3...

Stopped in as we had some time to kill before a meeting. The atmosphere was very nice. Great layout, warm and inviting. The staff member was very friendly and his attention to detail in cleaning was impressive. There was a nice selection of menu offerings and the employee was knowledgeable about the ingredients, which were of a good quality. Unfortunately our beverages themselves were a little lacking. I felt as though I was drinking more of a hot milk with coffee in it and a little foam on top than a cappuccino. Definitely more a latte...
