Great little spot with an expansive menu. We knew we were in the right spot when we were greeted right inside the door with a cooler full of Jarritos. The salsa was some of our favorite - a flavorful blend with smoky undertones. Our one wish for the salsa was that it could have been a little spicier.
We ordered the chicken flautas and the enchiladas divorciadas. Both were solid entrees. The chicken in the flautas had an incredible flavor and could be enjoyed on its own. The enchiladas were a good sampling of ground beef, chicken, beans, and cheese. The ground beef and the chicken (again!) were the standouts - but the enchilada sauces - both the salsa verde and the salsa roja were the standouts of the entire meal. Both had a depth of flavor that we would enjoy on almost anything, with the right amount of spiciness and richness. Each of our dishes had guacamole, which was delicious on its own.
Along with the mildness of the table salsa, the only other (minor) misses of the meal were the rice and beans. Again, these are minor issues that are forgivable in light of how delicious the rest of...
Read moreWe usually love this place. The food is great and usually the servers are wonderful. The past two times we ate here we had an elderly male server who is very rude and not attentive at all. I am by no means a demanding customer. All I require is refills and the server to check on us a couple times during the meal. This waiter paid us hardly any attention I had to almost dive on the floor in front of him to get his attention. The reason I am writing this review is that my wife ordered a coke and I got a water. Usually I take a few sips of her coke. The waiter charged us for 2 cokes and when I told him we only ordered 1 coke he said that he had me on camera taking sips of my wife’s coke. I honestly never have been to a restaurant as petty as that. He may actually be a more attentive server if he spent more time caring for his customers rather than watching them on the camera in the back. Horrible service from this guy. I always give 20% tip wherever I go and I have a bad taste in my mouth giving this guy 10%. I don’t think...
Read moreI’ve tried several Mexican restaurants in the area and this one is by far the best. My server was friendly and had a sense of ownership about the restaurant which made it feel very comfortable and welcoming. I ordered a peach margarita which was delicious! There are three sizes-average, too much, and waaayyyy too much lol. She offered me blended or on the rocks, a salted rim, sugar, or peach flavored sugar rim. I went with the peach sugar, blended. It was delicious. And everywhere I go I get the camarones con crema so of course I had to order that here and it was excellent. I really liked the spinach cream sauce they used. My partner ordered a chicken burrito which was smothered in a white cream sauce. He enjoyed it. And I ordered a fried beef chimichanga and horchata to go for my daughter, which we’re both excellent as well. All told it was only about $50. Well worth the money and a very comfortable and beautiful atmosphere to boot!...
