Drakes in Cool Springs could literally close it’s doors and I would not be upset about it. If I could rate no stars, I would! Prior to last nights service and treatment, I had been there several times and not had an issue. A group of 7 ladies planned for dinner and drinks to celebrate a friends 37th birthday. We arrived at 6:30/7pm and could only get a table to seat 5 of us at first. So for the first hour, 2 of us stood at the end of the table, then the table behind us opened up and we had already notified the server that we were waiting for an additional table. However, we noticed a husband and wife with their two children were waiting so we decided since we weren’t in a rush because we rarely get out, all together (u know family, kids, life... hard to get all together at once), that we would just wait for the family to eat and then we would just get the table. Mind you, we had now been there for about an hour and a half and most of us had a drink or two and we had ordered food as well... so the table opens up and we expand so we can all sit and enjoy some time together. At about 9 pm... and the manager comes over and says that he can no longer serve us drinks... I looked at him and asked if he was serious, like I literally thought he was joking... Apparently, even though the server had been directed from the start to do separate tickets for each of us... he had not and the total ticket for 7 of us was at $202.00. Now, had this all been alcohol, I might could see the issue however this was including food! We had friends that traveled 30 minutes one way and we had this planned for a month, and because your server can’t separate the ticket we were cut off from service! The manager script recited some corporate something or another and said they had issues at other locations with over serving... But this was absolutely ridiculous! By the time the manager separated the tickets properly... my ticket was 8.73! I had one drink and a side of fries. Not a single one of us had more than 3 beers over a 2-3 hour period. One of us literally drank only water and ate dinner. The most expensive ticket was 18.82 which consisted of dinner and 3 beers. The entire ordeal was terrible, the server was completely lost and the food was not up to par however we had overlooked all of that to enjoy the evening for it to be ended due to lack of knowledge of how to correctly do your job. You literally serve tubes of beer yet an individual can’t have dinner and 3 beers on their ticket over a total of 3 hours...? It was completely out of line. If even one of us were being loud or unruly or disrespectful in any way I could see where they would be coming from but that was not the case at all! Needless to say I personally will never return to this establishment! My suggestion... re-evaluate your management staff and property train your servers! Just an absolute...
Read moreI only give the service 2 stars because our actual waitress was great. A little backstory, our group of gals wanted to commemorate the end of the year. I got to the location about 45 minutes early to make sure we had seats available. I know that getting 20 people unexpectedly can be chaotic for waitstaff. I saw a server and asked if we could get a set up for approximately 20 people. He said sure, and I walked to the front bar to text my friend to tell her we were there and were making arrangements. Our building doesn’t get great reception, so since she didn’t respond to the text, I called. At this time she told me that she had called 2 weeks in advance to confirm there would be space available for 20-25 people. When she called that day, the manager was clueless about the previous conversation, and did not recall her request. I assured her they had space and hung up. I went to go back to mention that it may be more like 25 people, and I saw the manager. He immediately yelled at me and said that he wouldn’t let me be rude to him, like I was to his staff. Confused, I tried to clarify, and he stated firmly that the area I requested was already reserved. I explained that I believed my colleague had reserved that space, and attempted to call her back to find out more details. The manager again yelled in my face and said he would not talk to me while on the phone and to look at him while talking. I got my colleague on the phone to talk to him, and he agreed to talk to her. Once they hung up, I apologized to him saying that I hadn’t realized my tone was off putting and offered my hand, which he quickly walked passed and ignored. He stated offhandedly that I must have had a bad day. At this point, I walked to the front bar to wait for my colleagues. One came in and the bartender basically ignored her (it was dead), and when she tried to request service was told to wait a minute. Needless to say the whole experience was off putting, and I personally won’t be back. I also suggested we try a new...
Read moreI was really excited to try this based off reviews. However from the moment I came into the restaurant I should’ve known it was a bad idea. It took over 5 minutes to have a host come over to greet us, and two workers stared us down without even coming by to tell us the host was busy. Finally after getting sat down, we had to flag down a waiter to take our order. He was a nice guy, but this place is not run well. We ordered our food, then he came by one time after we asked if food was coming, and he brushed it off and basically just said I’ll check. After an hour of waiting with barely ANY communication from our waiter, the manager comes to us. She informed us that one of our meals was overcooked and had to be redone. Then she brought out the rest of my parties food, that had been done for I’m guessing over 30 minutes and just sitting under the heat lamp. Because of that every single one of their meals were absolutely disgusting and not eatable. Every sandwich was cold and bread was hard as a rock. Tator tots cold. Then about ten minutes later, they finally deliver my meal. At this point we expressed that we had waited an hour, and their meals were disgusting and not able to be eaten. They offered to make them new meals for free, but I couldn’t wait for another 20-30 minutes for their food while I’m eating mine, and it was just a crapshow. For the first time in my life I walked out of a restaurant. The manager did not care to really make things right and only offered free meals after we complained. It was awful. And I had a baby with me so waiting another 30 minutes wouldn’t...
