Great local pub located just half a block off of Main St. in the heart of downtown Franklin, Tn. Hop House has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a large rotating selection of local beer on tap. The food menu is small, but has plenty of great options, and evolves and changes from season to season. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the beer and food that they serve. If you’re from out of town and you want to rub elbows with locals, this is the place to go. Happy hour is Monday thru Thursday 2-5pm.

*Update: my last visit here (2/4/24) was not up to the level of service that I am used to getting. Our server, who I think is new, didn’t seem to know how to properly pour a beer, especially a stout. And despite not being busy, our food took a very long time to arrive, and was lukewarm when they finally brought it to the table. The fries were barely warm, and they were chewy. Our hot sandwiches were slightly warm. I don’t blame the chef, as I could hear him ring the bell in the pickup window alerting the servers that food was ready. Our food sat in that window getting cold. I don’t think they have warming lamps for that staging area, but they might want to consider installing some there, or perhaps bring the food out while...

Austin was AWESOME. He was kind, accommodating, and welcoming. Everyone was! Incredible service and great vibes. I was told it’s typically busier than when my boyfriend and I visited. But even if it was packed I’d happily come again! There’s good bar seating or some table seating at the entrance as well. It’s a true little jewel. They now offer cocktails!!! The cocktails are better than nearby establishments- in my humble opinion. They may not “look” as nice aesthetically but they are wayyyyy better mixed, balanced, and flavorful! They taste GREAT and are not watered down and disappointing like cocktail bars nearby that charge $$$. My boyfriend and I ordered The Bees Knees, Whiskey Sour, and the Espresso Martini. They have an amazing array of beers ALL from local distilleries here in Tennessee. Impressive selection of IPAs too! There’s so much about this place I was pleased with just upon my first visit. My boyfriend and I eat out nearby here often and are excited to go back to Hop House and order food here too. They have sports playing and I loved being able to watch some soccer. Even if a sports bar isn’t your top pick, please go check it out. It’s special. It’s laid back yet bursting with energy. So wonderful! Go...

Hop House has been on my radar for some time, but I don't find myself in Franklin as often as I used to. I finally went and checked this joint out around 5pm on a Friday. I was immediately impressed by the vibe and beer offerings. As someone who doesn't care for IPAs, I was pleasantly surprised that there were multiple offerings of different varieties. More specifically, they had some seasonal Marzens that I was more than happy to try. The service is pretty laid back and not particularly in a rush (not in a bad way) to do anything. Multiple bartenders were cool with my buddy trying about half a dozen samples to find something he'd enjoy. I went with the pretzel burger for food. That was a solid burger. The real stars of the dish were the tots. Phenomenal. There's definitely a neighborhood presence, as most of the bartenders knew about 15 combined patrons that came walking in at different points. Price point is about average for what one can expect. Five beers and a plate of food ran me roughly $45 before the inclusion of tax. I've added this chill spot to my rotation, and will definitely be back soon. High praise, Hop...
