I came here with my mom and aunt. We love O’Charleys so this was very disappointing to have the experience we had. We sat at the table for 15 minutes without being acknowledged and then someone comes by and slides a basket of bread on our table and walks away. This person did not smile, say hi, literally slid the basket as they were walking by and just kept on going. We did not have our drink orders taken nor did we have silverware. About five minutes after that our server came to the table to take our drink order. At this time, we ordered an appetizer as well and asked for silverware for the rolls so we could cut and butter them. He explained there was no silver wrapped at the moment and he would have to go wrap some. So as we waited, we finally decided to just eat the rolls before they got too cold with our hands and just tear them apart and dip them in the butter to the best of our ability. Before we knew it, our appetizer was delivered. However, our drinks were not yet delivered and we still did not have silverware. We had finished an entire basket of rolls and half to our cheese wedges before our drinks or silverware arrived. Two of us ordered sweet tea and they barely had any ice in them and were not very cold. We ordered our meals. My mom and aunt got steaks with a side salad and another side item. They waited for their side salads - and they never came. Eventually he came out with our meals and asked if everything looked correct. My mom asked “what happened to our salads?” And he said “I’m so sorry. That’s my fault. It has a busy night and we are understaffed. But that’s on me. I’ll go get them right away.” He came back within 5-10 minutes of delivering the meals. My mom and aunt were slightly upset because in order for them to eat their salad - their dinner got cold. My mom and aunt waited tables for over twenty years and I waited tables through high school and college. So we understand what it is like to be understaffed and busy, but you still should get your food served in a certain order and your appetizers should never come before your silverware or drinks. In addition, we felt like he should have offered something else instead of the side salads since the time for the side salads had passed - perhaps dessert or a different side item. As former waitresses, we felt like their should have been an alternative option at that point. We just wanted to let you know since we travel from Spring Hill to Franklin just to eat at O’Charleys. We just wanted the establishment to know, because this was poor customer service. Our server was very friendly and the food that we ate was good. However, my mom and aunt ended up taking their meals home because they did not want to eat them cold after waiting and eating their salads. Perhaps management can inform their staff on alternative routes they can take or things they can do when things like...
Read moreI went to O'Charley's for dinner last night, and I was sorely disappointed. The food was bland and tasteless, and the service was slow and indifferent. I ordered the grilled chicken and ranch sub, and it was the driest, most flavorless sub I've ever had. The bread was stale, the chicken was dry, and the ranch dressing was watery. I'm not sure what I was expecting from a place like O'Charley's, but I certainly wasn't expecting such subpar food.
I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy O'Charley's, but I'm not one of them. The food is simply not good enough to justify the price. If you're looking for a decent meal, I would suggest going elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants in town that serve better food at a lower price.
As for the service, it was just as bad as the food. Our waiter was completely disinterested in our table, and it took him forever to bring our food. When he finally did, he didn't even ask if we needed anything else. We were left sitting there for a long time after we finished eating, waiting for someone to come and take our plates.
I'm not sure what O'Charley's is doing wrong, but they need to do something to improve their food and service. Otherwise, they're going to continue to lose customers.
In the meantime, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I'm not going to waste my time and money on a restaurant that serves subpar food and has terrible service. Their chicken tenders honestly...
Read moreSeating was fast and our server was pretty quick and kind! The rolls they bring out for free are okay, nothing standout but just enough to be vaguely satisfying. We got two appetizers: the Chips and Queso and the Potato Skins. The chips and queso were actually pretty dang good and we chowed down on it so much I nearly didn't finish my meal 😂. The potato skins are better than expected and I personally believe them to be better than most other restaurants I've had. Even with a full stomach, it still tasted great! I ordered the New Orleans Cajun Pasta with Chicken and I don't know many other ways I could have been happier with it. Seasoning was solid, the sauce was smooth and a good, yet mellow flavor, it had peppers and onions in it and they were delectable with it all together or just on the penne noodles. It may be my favorite Cajun chicken pasta equivalent I've personally ever had. However, my girlfriend ordered the 6oz Top Sirloin with Fries and the steak (while grilled which did add a decent base flavor) had next to no seasoning other than the grilled flavor that comes with it anywhere. That seems to be the only negative aspect I can point out. Sirloin needs more flavor in general. All together, I'm pretty happy with it! The location is easy to get to with plenty of stuff around too. Thanks for hearing me out! Have...
