Ritter's Frozen Custard - Franklin — Restaurant in Franklin

I enjoy Ritter's and have been eating custard there for years. It's definitely a local favorite and a good place to take people who are out of town for a special treat. Flavors of custard change daily, except for the standard chocolate and vanilla. You can check flavors on Facebook, website, or just call. They also have Italian gelato available and other frozen treats. They make fresh lemon shake ups too. It's a walk up service counter so only outdoor seating available. Keep in mind this place can be extremely busy at times in the summer. However, service is usually good and friendly even at the busiest times. Only downside is the cost, it's definitely more expensive for "ice cream". You can tell the quality and portions are good so that justifies the price. For our family, we like to save money by just going and buying a quart or 2. Much cheaper than individual items for our family of five. Great frozen custard..BUT: I have had two bad experiences with them in the past 2 weeks. The most recent one was when I ordered a PB and chocolate chip cookie dough glacier, and they gave me a PB and chocolate chip glacier (no cookie dough). No big deal right? I informed the girl there that I asked for cookie dough, and she said "oh I heard choc chip". Then she just stood there and smiled. I asked if she could correct the order and she said it would cost more and looked at me like I ruined her day. Usually I have great experiences at this ritters. Tonight, not so great. I ordered our usual. Got my brownie sundae. The brownie was extremely hard and the sundae had barely any fudge. I walked up to the window and was greeted by the young man who said “oh we are not allowed to remake it. I can give you a new brownie” I didn’t want a new brownie. I paid 6.10 for my sundae it should have been remade. I threw it away.
