I have never left a bad review before on a business page, but today I went with my sister to get Starbucks on my day off and had a horrible experience. We each got our regular drinks that we normally get along with food, and it totaled a little over $20 including the cash tip I left. When we pulled away and took a sip of our drinks, they did not taste good at all. After spending $20, we decided to go back through the drive-thru to ask if they would remake them.
I used to work at Starbucks, so I understand it’s annoying for them to remake a drink and usually I just take the drink if it’s a little off, but these drinks did not taste good at all we couldn’t finish them. When I explained the situation to the person working at the drive-thru, I even prefaced my request by saying, “I’m sorry, I hate to do this, but…” and then asked them to remake the drinks. He told me to come inside for that.
I then called the store and asked to speak to the manager. The assistant manager was on the phone, so I explained the situation and told her that it was my day off and I was in my pajamas not dressed to walk through the store so I was hoping to either get a refund or have them remake the drinks through the drive-thru. Instead, she insisted I come inside in person.
She also asked us for details as to why the drinks did not taste good. It felt like she was really wanting details to understand why we didn’t like the drinks. When my sister was explaining what she thinks her drink needed, she said, “we’re going to remake the drinks go standard.” If she already knew she was going to do that, then why ask us for details in the first place? We don’t work at Starbucks, so how would we know why the drinks don’t taste good? These are the drinks we always get and they did not taste good, period.
Then she mentioned that the matcha powder had changed, but I got the matcha the same week and it tasted great, so I’m not sure what she was getting at. It all felt very invalidating. Twenty dollars is a lot of money for me, and I’ve worked in customer service for years I would never treat a customer like that. Not that she cares, but I won’t be going back to that store.
We ended up just leaving because I didn’t feel like having another bad experience inside with her she upset me on the phone and I didn’t feel like dealing with her any further. If you made it this far, here’s to wasted money on my one day off and a...
Read moreFor starters I'm giving one star because they were open. However, I wish I could give less. The barista who I believe was the Manager, who was very pretty but somewhat of a prune and was totally not engaged in the service she was providing. Everything had to be repeated and then once we were able to establish communication, she didn't even have any helpful information about how to recieve bonus stars. Secondly, I made my purchase on the 26th of December and I have yet to receive my 100 bonus stars per the marketed promotion. I purchased breakfast foods and drinks (i.e. sausage & cheddar sandwich, a cup of oatmeal, a tall pike and a cup of water for my wife and I) to recieve the 100 stars which wasn't in my Starbuck app's mailbox, such as the buy 1 and get 1 free between 2-7pm notification to get folks to stop by but I had to search for the 100 bonus stars promotion under "offers" after learning about it from another customer. The likelihood of me returning to this Starbucks is highly unlikely and slim to none. Most Starbucks are at the very least, friendly and fairly competent. This Starbucks was neither, especially since I had to request water for my wife's DRY oatmeal. This Starbucks is in a great location but trust me I majored in Business Leadership, the location only goes so far. If the staff comes to work with personal problems just take the day off, it'll serve your store better in doing so and not ruining someone else's day or experience (i.e. my wife and I's first experience at...
Read moreI have been visiting this Starbucks location for the past few years, and my wife and I always feel welcomed. We have had many wonderful interactions and experiences with the employees here. Even though my name is also James, James (young one) and James (older one) from this store are always great, of course greeting me by my own name. I have also had positive interactions with Jack, Avery, and Elizabeth, just to praise and recognize those who go above and beyond the basic job description with excellence. All staff members clearly care about the customer needs and truly work hard to provide an amazing experience and product just the same. My family will keep coming back to this store location again and again and again with other future pleasant enthusiastic encounters in mind. If you need a Starbucks store to temporarily find relief or get some work done, you will feel right at home with the generous demeanor exemplified here. Look no further then! For a brief moment, you might just feel like you are sitting at home in...
