I appreciate the effort the staff puts into this place. It's part of life we have our lopsided days. Anybody who expects things to be perfect is in denial of their own faults. Try working all day everyday like these people do with the general public which could be couth or uncouth, and get back to us with another review. We're privileged to have another choice buffet that's reasonably priced. Anymore upscale in pricing and I wouldn't be a monthly regular for fear and embarrassment of not being able to tip people. I like to be able to tip the cooks as well as the waiters. After all, the main reason people go there is for food. I think it best to give the cooks incentive and accreditation that I find is lacking every place I go. If you're rather poor like me it's understandable that can't always be the case. I'm guilty at times of not tipping at all. That's when and where my check goes to the owners and I leave it up to them to fairly divide the proceeds. Do they want a regular customer or would they rather wait for me to save up my weekly earnings to be able to tip? I always question and answer that to myself. The majority of the time I wait and save up. The rest of the time I can't resist the GREAT food. Yes calamari and squid needs only to be fried for ten seconds but who cares if it's a little overcooked? Go buy a pack from these overpriced retailers and perfect it yourself. Post it on YouTube about how lame your opinionated life is. I've always found ethical foods alluring from all corners of the world. I'm a born and bred American white male which puts me at odds with basically everything aside from European dishes such as Italian, polish, German, Irish etc. These kinds of dishes are generally mixed and mashed byproducts of original foods. Take everything from the buffet and blend it together basically, only add more empty calories. With Asian foods you get a nice simple yet intricately assorted selection. They majestically segregate their food like they segregate themselves in society. Yes, I'm that outcast white guy in an all Asian staffed Asian buffet who sits with himself as all the Asian staff huddle around a table uniformly to eat, talking in a language I'd like to learn. Yet what's the point of learning a language if my pale skin and blue eyes prevent me from associating. Yes I leave TJ buffet with a satisfied belly and an impoverished ego but that doesn't prevent me from...
Read moreI am a long time customer and so are my parents. Just yesterday 01/01/2020 my mom and dad surprised me and my family to dinner. Big mistake. We came here. Even though I have nothing bad to say on the food besides it goes right through you, I am more disappointed and really outraged with the staff. We ordered our drinks and went to get our food. The waitress was acting really inappropriate with us. She was asking personal questions like if i owned my home, I reply yes I do. She asked if I worked and my husband. How much he makes if we are rich and so forth. I was getting irritated because I wanted to talk with my kids and family, but she interrupted our conversation every time. She hovered over our table and would not leave us alone. Then I went up to the jewelry which by the way there was a set that caught my eye a necklace bracelet ring combo that had a couch symbol on it so I know they didn't make it, but they claim they did just heads up. Anyways my daughter picked out a necklace and they told me I had to pay $20 but the others where $10. I don't know why but ok. So my mom goes up and she told them she liked this one necklace but she wasn't going to purchase it. Next thing we know we go back to the table for the necklace to be put in a bag and was asked for the $10. She pushed her into purchasing it to get her away. After we where done, by the way this place is self served, an she never refilled our drinks gave us the bill. She asked who was paying and my parents told her we will pay when ready. She kept asking until she gave in. I left the tip. I only left &5 because she didn't do anything besides force us to buy jewelry and hound us for money. We spent in told &152 so far. We went to leave and she asked me for more money. Of course she said others things but didn't understand her. We walked out and my son left his coat. She brings it out and verbally starts yelling at me that she wants more then $5 for a tip. I mad as ever walked away. I was upset humiliated and these people need manners. I have worked in many fields and work in food business I have never in my life did what she did to me nor would ever treat anyone that way. So neatless to say I will never step foot in there ever again. Do not waste your...
Read moreI used to enjoy going to this buffet frequently with my boyfriend, it’s pretty affordable and the food used to be really good but last time we went they keep their food trays too hot and everything was over cooked. I also noticed waitress swatting bugs off the food. That’s not the worst part, they’re waitresses are god awful. When she asked for our drinks I was in the middle of my sentence asking for a tea and lemon and as I was in the middle of saying and lemon, she quickly walked away, and of course I got my tea with no lemon. When we came back with our food she weirdly invaded my personal space by touching my skin and telling me how beautiful my tattoos were. I uncomfortably thanked her and then she handed us our check. We literally got OUR FIRST plate of food and she was already shoving the check at us. My boyfriend and I kinda just left it there because we were waiting to pay when we were Done eating which is custom. She came back shortly when we started eating and said to him, you pay now, as he was in the middle of eating ribs. Which he had to stop eating and clean his hands off to get his wallet. She came back to collect it and said “hey, no tip?” And I laughed at her in shock and said we need to finish eating first and he just threw a 5 so she’d shut up and let us eat in peace. I cannot believe she had the audacity to ask for a tip when she couldn’t even get our drinks right and forced the check down our throats after not even eating a whole first plate. I think the most shocking thing is that after reading reviews this is no where near the first time she’s done this and the management is obviously allowing this rude behavior to continue. They’ve lost two more reoccurring customers today. I hope you, the waitress, read this and know that you’re rude, ignorant and just because you compliment people doesn’t mean you can ask for a tip.
