Went to this Olive garden yesterday with my wife after food shopping. I didn't like this location before this experience for the simple fact that everytime (for years) we'd go there the whole restaurant would smell like the dishroom/sewage smell. Surprisingly that wasn't the case this time. My wife and I went for soup, salad, and bread sticks. We for the first ones seated at the booths next to the bar. Bartender took our order and said "ah you're taking it easy on me". Got out drinks (sprite/coke) and that was it. The two groups sitting on either side of us were seated after us and even got their appetizers while the Bartender was nowhere to be seen. We are now approaching 25 minutes after ordering with no bread sticks no soup and no salad. Not even so much as a "it'll be right out" from one of the 6 clueless kids sitting at the podium who just cost the restaurant $$$$. Seriously is that's how your establishment represents itself with lazy kids running the front end then that speaks volumes of the store manager. We walked out of this place at 1140 on a Sunday. I didn't say anything because honestly I didn't want to deal with "we'll comp this or give you a free" doesnt matter when the service isn't existent. The cherry on top was when my wife DID say something as we were leaving the hostess (one of the 5/6 standing there) gave my wife a stare like it was my wifes fault. This is exactly why I don't care about the service industry. I can make 100x better food personally and managers (not covid) have destroyed the industry. Is it even legal to leave the bar unattended for almost a half hour in pennsylvania? I expect zero recourse from this just a...
Read moreI never write reviews but enough is enough. My daughter has been bullied at school and now we can’t even go in and eat at our favorite restaurant. There are 3 Highland school girls working at the Pgh Mills restaurant and make it unbearable to go in and eat there anymore. 1st to not be waited on, we waited while 2 girls sat on their phoneso giggling and didn’t even take our name for 15 minutes taking pictures of my daughter, to be skipped over to be seated. 2nd to have these girls take pictures of my daughter and put them on Snapchat while they are supposed to be working. 3rd to forget something I ordered and when I asked for it to go behind my back to one of the other girls and make a scene and comments in front of my daughter who told me and when I turned around they were making hand gestures and being quite loud and ridiculing me. I have told my family, neighbors and other work colleges who will not be going back to the Pittsburgh Mills Olive Garden. It’s a shame that the manager would let this continue. To see people siting and these girls talking, giggling and taking pictures of their patrons with their phones. To get your food brought out cold. This is the 3rd time and strike 3 your out. I have tried to look beyond this. Tried to be the bigger person by tipping the girl and she didn’t even take the tip off my card-your loss. It’s insulting, uncomfortable and just down right nasty. This manager needs to get a grip on his employees and think about the people coming in there to relax and have a good meal, the people that is spending their...
Read moreI hate even having to do this because Olive Garden is my all time favorite restaurant. I brag about the food quality all the time and go here for every anniversary/special occasion. I always order chicken tortellini alfredo or chicken alfredo with grilled chicken. Me and my husband went out tonight and the food was not good. I was surprised because this is not something i would ever say. The griled chicken had to have been changed or under/overcooked or something bc it couldnt even be chewed, i had to keep spitting it out into a napkin bc it was like a rubber texture. and i would chew and chew and it wasnt breaking apart. My husband got the steak gorgonzola which he also always says is great but he said the flavor was completely different from previous times, the dressing/sauce was like a whole different flavor, super strong/vinegary. He also said the steak tasted different as well. Not only that but it is just around 20° outside and the air was blowing from right above us. It was freezing. I saw other customers putting their coats on and i put on my sweater and my gloves because my hands were freezing! It was just so cold in there and it sucked that it was blowing directly at us and the people beside us. So not sure what was going on there tonight, food tasted so different and im still confused at why the air conditioner was on even though it was only 20° outside. Im also wanting to ask if they switched their meats, because if so; it needs switched back because it...
