I want to start this by saying I go to this location often and have never had a problem before. However, my most recent trip was nothing short. Period. Short is nowhere on the vocabulary of this location. There were about 4 or 5 customers in front of me and there was one person serving food and one person at the register. The person making the food would make the bowls completely and leave them by the register for checkout. When it gets to my order though, she decided to make it halfway (rice, beans, meat) and then leaves it and goes back to make the next people’s order. Only after the person at the register finished checking customers out, washed their hands, and put gloves on did they come and finish making my bowl. But wait there’s more. You would think that after they made my order they would check me out… NOPE. Instead they proceed to make everyone else’s order that the other worker started. Only after that did they start to work the register again. However, on the last person they were helping asked for queso and they noticed there was no more queso. They decided it would be a good idea to go make more queso for them instead of getting the line to move. Once they finished with that they came and asked me if there was anything else they could get for me. I told them that I wanted a drink and chips and they grabbed the drink. Before they were able to finish my purchase. A different worker comes to the register and would like to get 2 bowls. Completely cuts the line as he had already made his bowls. The cashier then decided to check them out instead of me and any other customers waiting for the 20+ min at this point. Once that is done I have to remind them that I wanted chips (not a problem just trying to paint a good picture). They then look behind them and see no chips. They also look at the mobile order section and sees chips. However, they then go to the back and grab a whole tray of bags of chips instead of just getting one from the mobile section (maybe that is policy I am not sure). I am then able to pay and leave. Overall, I waited for around 30 minutes or more to get one bowl which should have taken them maybe 10 min if they were...
Read moreMANAGEMENT PLEASE READ: wish i could give 0 stars. first of all we come in at 9:28, they close at 10:00pm. every staff member gave us a dirty look when we walked in. when we get up to the counter to order, i notice two men on the grill staring at me and whispering/laughing to each other. they were not trying to hide it at all. I immediately feel uncomfortable, and pull my shorts down (not that they were very short anyway, but that's the world we women have to live in now) and make sure my over sized t shirt is providing enough coverage (it obviously was.) they continue whispering and pointing while i try to ignore them and order my food, which proves to be even more difficult than walking in the door. the girl starting people's order doesn't even ask me what i want, just gives me a blank stare with an expressionless face that looks like she's saying "well come on stupid, order". at this point i'm starting to get angry, but still don't want to be rude so i just take the abuse LOL. the serving sizes the girl gave me were a 1/4 of the normal serving, she dumped a whole spoon full of mild pico water in my bowl, smushed everything down into the bowl even though it definitely would've fit because there was nothing in it!! then, when it comes to handing me the bag, she slides it aggressively across the counter, almost knocking it over. couldn't even hand it to me. not to mention... this store was DIRTY. i'm so angry that i paid real money for this experience. this store needs a total revamp, training for all employees in customer service and maybe even head of title ix needs to come in and explain that pointing and gawking at customers isn't okay. as the cherry on top, when i got home i noticed this girl seriously used SPILLED QUESO to write on my bowl instead of a sharpie. “S" for Steak and lowercase "Q" for the queso that she spilled all over my bowl and counter. I am absolutely livid. How gross. I’d love to provide a picture as proof to management. You are more than welcome to contact me...
Read moreWe frequent the different Chipotle restaurants in Frederick area, and unfortunately live closest to this location. They are consistently slow and often fail in execution. Initially we ascribed these problems to growing pains, but at this point, I think the blame lies with management or the local franchise owner.
Today's experience was typical. Chipotlane order was supposed to be ready at 9:00pm. We were there at 9:00pm. Over the course of 20 minutes, I was asked by 4 store employees who the order was for (two came back and asked again). Mind you, we were the only car in the "Chipotlane" for the entire time and there were no other orders prepared next to the pickup window ready to go. Eventually I shut the car engine off. We saw one family dining in and barely any foot traffic in and out. A few employees were cleaning inside. I don't blame them. Anyone who came to the window to check on us was polite as well. But whomever is running the ship is failing and has been failing for a while. For us, it's probably quicker to order from the Westview site even if the drive is longer.
They are doing a better job at making chips at the Urbana location, something they struggled with at the beginning. Of course they failed to write on the containers who the different bowls were for (or include utensils) but that's no biggie. Sometimes they get this right. Food tasted fine. Hope they up their game, but avoid unless dining in or putting in an online order that you can wait 20-30 minutes on.
Sept 2023 update: they have improved significantly since this review. Dining in is probably a good option. They're generous with portions, for the most part, when dining in and the staff continues to...
