I went in yesterday for Veteran's Day promotion they were offering. I walked through the door and asked if they had anything going on for Veterans today? The response I received made me feel that I was the 1,000th person to ask that question and he was annoyed that I asked. He told me order at the front, and when the manager walked out and asked what I needed, I was under the impression that I was the 1,000th unluckiest person and I won a bad service award. I told him that I was here for the Veteran meal, and didn't seem to thrilled. 1st, I didn't come up with this idea "lets give back to our Veterans," your company did. All I did was just serve our country, and defend your freaking freedoms. To top it all off, you put the least amount of meat on there too.. I can go on and on, but I will stop there. I never felt like that coming into a restaurant. Knowing that I'm a Veteran, while you guys are "supposed" to be doing it for vet's, is mind blowing and just know that you don't have to worry about making a sandwich for 10 plus people because me and my entire family which also includes 5 other Vets will not put another dime into your store. If you were tired of making sandwiches, you definitely got your wish with this guy.. Either change professions or quite. You don't have to work there if you...
Read moreI have been to many firehouse subs in several different states. This was the only bad experience I’ve had at a firehouse subs. First, I walk in and there was no “welcome” or even a slight acknowledgement of my presence. The employees just kept on with their conversation right there in front of me at the register. Then there wasn’t even a smile or anything close to sincerity from the guy behind the counter that was taking my order. I got the order to go and was not pleased with what I saw when I opened the boxes. There was next to no meat on my sandwich. (I’ve always ordered the same sub and there wasn’t even half as much meat as other locations have put on it). Seriously, a quarter of my sandwich didn’t have any meat on it. Not to mention the meat that they used was old and grainy. Then there was the issue of the sauce. It was DROWNING in sauce!! This is a direct reflection of this branch managers skills (more like the lack there of). Rude employees, old food, too much sauce to hide their ripping you off to save money, etc.. I spent $28 on three subs for my families lunch and they all went in the trash. I will not be eating here at this...
Read moreWow, nothing makes my day brighter than an Italian sub (+ banana peppers) from this place. It's sad because I've been there many days and it's closed due to not enough workers. It's a catch-22. I've seen the manager of the restaurant bark orders like no one else. He keeps complaining that no one wants to work for him and I feel like saying, well try being a little bit nicer. Stop yelling at everyone. I would never ever want to work at a place if he was my manager. I couldn't handle even one day. You can tell he's completely exhausted. And I sort of feel sorry for him. But if he would just understand that he's a huge part of the problem as to why no one wants to work there!!!! If he was a little bit kinder, I bet you he'd have more people trying to get a job there. I mean it's not like they are paying top dollar! He complains openly about lazy teenagers not performing well. I want to say, that's because they live with their parents! No one older who lives on their own, could afford to work there. It's sad. I think Firehouse needs to get a new manager who knows how to manage younger workers. Just...
