Just had the worst possible experience. Was in the store shopping around for about 45 min when one of the female employees starts screaming at me from across the store to offer to help me. I told her no. She came closer and asked again. I told her no. I even made a joke about how everything was so expensive. She then began to quite obviously follow me around the store . Grabbed another female worker started pointing at me and talking. Then after following me about 10 minutes. They started screaming at me. Came over told me that I was making one of their other employees (no idea who they were even talking about) uncomfortable and that I was following this person around the store. I told them I literally had no idea what they were talking about but that their following "ME" was making me uncomfortable. I asked for their names which they refused. Neither had a name tag. I took their pictures but they told me I wasn't allowed. I left and called the police. Police told me they would contact the store to take a report and that I should contact corporate which I also did. I have probably spent over $10,000 in that store in the past year. I go there all the time. But NEVER again. I got a call back from the police telling me that they would not cooperate over the phone and they were going to try and send someone out. I really hope they learn their lesson. If you legitimately have an employee that feels uncomfortable, put them to work in the back and call the police. Don't act like a maniac. Clearly there was some kind of misunderstanding and they blew it way up. I doubt I'm even the person they were...
Read moreI’ve visited this store multiple times & have never had an issue with their products or staff/customer service until today. I came in for a simple exchange, & was issued a gift card for the swap. I kept the gift card since it still had a ~$5 balance remaining upon exchange. My dad got in line well after me, so I gave him the gift card to use up that $5 towards his purchase. He called me over as it was not working after trying 2x. He was being helped by the same cashier I was helped by just minutes earlier for the exchange. I politely pointed out that she had just helped me, & that it should work as there’s still a $5 balance, & had all the receipts to prove it. With that, she asked a fellow cashier for assistance as she “didn’t want to stand here all day with us” and told me to “take it down a notch.” I was nothing but nice to her during both transaction encounters, & did not appreciate being given an unnecessary attitude. Left without looking into the issue as there was a long line of people waiting, but not looking forward to trying to resolve the issue upon my...
Read moreHuge variety. If you go to Bed, Bath and Beyond or Target to look for throw pillows or lamps you'll find one aisle, maybe 2. At Home has at least 5 aisles of each! Well-organized, not messy heaps. And some very distinctive, pretty things. Very large selection of wall art, rugs, seasonal decorations. Not many sales people are available and the ones you run into seem overwhelmed and under-trained.
Prices are good but not deep discount. I especially thought the summer seasonal decorating and gardening stuff would be on a better sale in mid-September. Some was 50% off but still too high for a good value. Outdoor wicker furniture surprisingly was not on sale at all, although it was near sale items. With the discount warehouse atmosphere, and few employees, I thought there would be better prices.
Be aware that rugs never seem to ring up at the register at the same price as on the tag. Twice, it's been $20 more than the sign. So well worth the trip for the variety, but pay...
