Put in a grocery order for pickup. They messaged me at the pickup time and told me to come. Once I arrived, I received a message that they were bringing out the groceries. But what actually happened is that a woman came out to tell me that my order had been canceled. She could not say why or by whom. She could not gather the groceries now, or reschedule for tomorrow. All she could do was give me a number to call. I called the number from the parking lot, they were closed.
Putting aside their DMV-esque customer service, I don't feel comfortable trusting these people to safely manage my food. These guys couldn't find their rear with both hands.
Update: turns out that by the time I'd arrived, they had gathered all my groceries together for pickup and they had charged my card. They just refused to give me the groceries I'd paid them for. Their reason was this: the only evidence of payment they would accept is an email that they didn't send me. Which is almost comical because after 2 days of trying to get my groceries, the groceries would be free if they had any shame! But no, I was charged more than $300 and they would not accept any evidence that they had done so except the evidence that they didn't give me.
These are really disgusting business practices. I will be disputing the $300+ they billed to my card.
Update: Called the number provided below and spoke to someone. They offered a $20 coupon in compensation, if we'll utilize their service again. Frankly, that's not adequate, and Wegman's has a similar service that I've had no...
Read moreI see Giant closing its doors, not just the ones by the pharmacy but all of them soon. I think they want to go out of business. Produce quality and selection is poor on a good day. NO FRESH MEAT, NO THEY CANT CUT STEAKS. They don't have any to cut. Every bit of meat is delivered, vacuum sealed, and already cut and pre-packaged. Most of the beef is gray and unappealing, to say the least. Goes the same for the God awful gray boneless chicken breasts that were 6.99 a lb. Bone in pork chops 5-6.99 lb??? Their prices are higher than Wegmans, where I can get FRESH Steaks cut the thickness I want at no extra charge. All the fresh seafood you could ask for. I can't remember the last time I saw ANY seafood at Giant that looked fresh or appealing. Just those poor sad lobsters slowly dying in that tank. Doesn't matter when I go, the store is empty and probably why most that still shop there are. You can definitely get in and out quickly. Its a shame that I'll be shopping at Wal-Mart and Wegmans from now on because I moved all my prescriptions from CVS to Giant Pharmacy back before they went to heck and have NO COMPLAINTS WHATSOEVER with Giant pharmacy or any of their staff. I'm super happy with them and the rest of the Giant Staff for that matter. It's not their fault. It's Corporates. I will have to decide whether to continue to have to go to Giant just for my prescriptions or move them yet again to a more...
Read moreWas regular customer and was buying catfish on 6/8/22. The fish was wonderful but I noticed I was charged what I thought was exorbitant amount on the receipt...which said walleye. On the am of 6/10 I talked to a person in seafood that apologized and said bring the receipt to customer service and I would be refunded. That night I did as he instructed and caught nothing but resistance from the manager on duty. She ended up crediting my card for $3.52 only, telling me the difference in price was$1. When I walked back to seafood, the difference was actually$5. So a manager that lies had cost them a regular customer. Won't be back over about$15. Way to do business Giant Foods... update... perhaps most humorous of all... they sent a response feigning interest in my shopping experience...when I called the given number found they were closed 15 prior until Monday. Guessing I'll talk to them Monday... So let's do the math...they lost $209 a week over about $30 total...and I had the pleasure of meeting perhaps the most horrible person in whoever the manager was...
