Yesterday, dinner time, we pulled in line to place our drive through order. There were three cars in front of us. We ordered a regular roast beef sandwich, the #5 large RB sandwich meal, and the two for $5 cheeseburgers. The staff guy repeated our order back and told us our total was $27 and change. It took us 22 minutes to finally get up to the window. We needed to clarify our order because for what the menu board advertises, our order should not be $27.00 and coin. They made the correction on the two for $5 burgers, which was the reason for the higher cost. Our total came to $22. and change. The staff person took our credit card, processed the order and proceeded to hand me a medium size drink (we ordered the large #5 meal). I reminded her of that, she stated "OK, well I'll just go ahead and give you a large." ..... well, since that's what we paid for, yeah... that would be great. Also, both roast beef sandwiches were the same, so it's obvious we didn't get the large roast beef that we paid for. Also, we had to walk inside to get our credit card, they never gave it back to us after they handed off our order to us. Rather than hold up the drive through line while trying to get someone's attention inside (since it took us 22 minutes to get to the window), we pulled away and had to go inside to get our...
Read moreLove the chicken, but always waiting for it or end up leaving empty handed. How does a restaurant known for its chicken run out? Someone not forecasting properly? Maybe adopt Lil Ceaser's tagline: "hot and ready". Went to Roy's on 4/20, approached drive-thru, sign posted "no credit cards, cash only, sorry for inconvenience". Okay, cool. A little irritating, but I came back with $20. Approached drive-thru again. "Sorry, there's a 15 minute wait for chicken". Wait, what, are you serious? Is this a chicken restaurant or a restaurant in disguise as a business? Never have I been to Chick-fil-A, Popeyes or the worst chicken joint and they didn't have chicken. 7 out of 10 times I visit this Roy's, never have chicken ready or don't have the pieces wanted. I reviewed them 2 years ago, and it hasn't changed. The only consistency is the inconsistent service they render. What a screwed business model, to keep customers waiting for chicken or allow them to leave and go across the street to the competition, which I have done on occasion. Maybe they want to go out of business? Their staff is friendly and helpful, but getting chicken would be a bonus. I would not recommend...
Read moreAs a Frederick local we enjoy our regular visit to Roy Rogers. Hard to beat chicken seasoning. But tonight while in the drive thru we watched an employee feeding a dog in the vehicle in front of us. As we approached the window she relocated to the front where the food is bagged. She opened bags for what I presumed was our order since no one was in the lobby or behind us. A young man approached me for payment and I mentioned my concern about handling of our order. He attempted to resolve my concern by saying he placed our food in the bags. He completed the transaction and said something to the young lady. She didn't budge, awaiting the next customer at the counter/register typing on her phone. We waited about ten minutes for the order then left. We're not concerned about providing pets with treats but if you cannot consider your personal hygiene and the health of your customers by washing your hands, this isn't the...
